Youch. I wish you the very best in getting through the cancer. If UKGTL helps you in some way during that process please do try and have some fun with us on Thursday evenings.

Thanks guys. But now have a problem! Have downloaded track from link and it has huge black bits instead of tarmac. Is there a texture pack or something I need to down load as well?

I can only echo the sentiments already expressed, Peter. Hopefully I will be able to make this one in my beloved Capri, though as usual I doubt I will have done any practice or even have learned the circuit.

No other pack required. It should just work. Are you on low or high res track textures (advance or graphics options in game somewhere)?

Hi Have tried both. Only thing that stops it is switching to direct X 9 but the frame rate drops from 70 to 20 and it is undriveable.

Best wishes for a full recovery Peter. At least you won't have to worry about me knocking you off on the first lap this week - I can't make this Thursday. Hope to see you all at Brands Hatch on July 5th.
Regards, Phil Gilliland

I could barely get a 1.37.9 in the BMW I've always sucked at the city tracks, in every game I've tried, so I can't say what others will do.

Ok sorry for the delay. I've narrowed down the problem on mine to using Low Res Track textures. I ran it on DX7 with 16-bit colours and only got that black effect when using Low Res Track Textures. To turn on the high res textures, in game, go to OPTIONS->ADVANCED->LOW RES TRACK TEXTURES and make sure it is not checked. It looks like this track only works with High Res Track Textures I guess, although the readme does not mention it at all.

I managed a 1:40.1 in the 2600 RS Capri after 15 laps! I won't be driving THAT on Thursday night (just having a laugh with it).
I'm guessing someone (in a 906 probably, I'm sure light weight will be better than power) will manage the 1:35s.
All the very best Peter, I'll be trying not to hit your car like I did at Goodwood last Wednesday, oops.

The Vette can only prove itself on the mainstraight. Problem is...it isn't straight and I have to lift off
