In case you have been away from GTL, there have been GTL lobby problems. But.... it's all fixed now!
This is what you do to connect to the server:1) Download & run this
HOSTS HACK2) Start GTL & select to the lobby
3) Register a new lobby account (I suggest the same name but with a blank email & password)
4) Log in with your
new account & you should see a list of servers
If this fix has not worked for you, then please check out this thread for more info/questions:
https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=6869.msg119486#msg119486But most importantly, do not suffer in silence (also, don't leave it till the Monday night
).

(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) Driver lists can be found on the
championship standings page(4) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.
Special Notes:
The pit lane exit runs around the inside of turn 1 and you should follow the lane, accelerating, until you can blend in on the back straight. The pit lane entrance lane also begins on the back straight allowing you to decelerate before approaching the pit lights. Please practise both manoeuvres as part of your preparation.
