All members welcome. Grid/server capacity: 28 Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins) Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins) Race: 20:40 (20 laps) Track: Nogaro Download thisCars allowed: Any car, once only, from here The real mod 1.0: http://downloads.gamers-crib.com/Sim%20Racing/GTL/Mods/RealMod/RealMod10.exe or here http://www.gamefront.com/files/21168781/RealMod10_exeand last update (to ver 1.3): http://downloads.gamers-crib.com/Sim%20Racing/GTL/Mods/RealMod/RealMod13update.exe or here http://www.gamefront.com/files/21168219/RealMod13update_exeIt's best if you create a standalone GTL install (copy your GTL to a temp folder, rename it e.g. REAL GTL, then copy back to your usual directory. Path the install to the new REAL GTL you have just created). Install ver 1.0 first then update with the ver 1.3 install. Run the sim and purchase the cars. We will not be able to use any skin packs with this mod. Drivers are reminded that the maximum number of drives in any car is One. Check your status hereTime of Day Setting: 14:00 Start: STANDING Tyre wear: Normal Fuel consumption: Normal Server: simracing.org.uk RGTL Password: see aboveNotes: (1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. (3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read Autopit="0" Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable. (4) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings pageSpecial Notes: None.

Thanks Tony. Was it me or did anyone else have understeer problems, of all the cars available to me (considerable as I've missed quite a few races) only the Elite with it's fully adjustable suspension didn't give problem. Selected the 1000 cc Mini, not too much power to get into trouble. On night decided to try 1275 version with success - even more so thanks to Geoffers advice on suspension setting (no rear roll bar to crank up - solution on P&G thanks to ??, US driver). quicksilver384 had problem on opening lap and I managed to creep by before he got back up to speed and held him up for while until he found weak spot and squeezed by: contested place for a few corners but his higher corning speeds soon told. Had a few laps with SpecialKS until torque and power prevailled and after that had lonely drive through to the end.

I had no problems with understeer.
Spent most of the race trying to catch and pass Syd. By the end my front tyres were shot and I was an easy pass for Quicksilver. Thoroughly enjoyed the racing but was let down by some poor driving errors at the hairpin which cost me loads of time. After all the effort I was disappointed to finish so low down the order. Ho Hum.

Great race, mostly swapping places with Mark, I could catch at one particular place but could not pass until Mark fell off I kept locking the fronts into the hairpin, and so let GT and Mark through at least twice I had on off somewhere and caught Mark up yet again, and he then went wide and onto the beach at the final turn on the last lap ,and I "JUST" won the drag race to the line I think I am away on me hols 10th Sept, and it would be my Jag against Marks's GTA at Cadwell, so not much of a contest

On night decided to try 1275 version with success - even more so thanks to Geoffers advice on suspension setting No problem Bill. I was watching you in qually & even with a little grasstracking you were only 2-3s slower than Matt & Mark. I think you need to concentrate on getting your braking points right, the rest of your driving was really good. A couple of turns you were being too late on the brakes & a couple of others too early. Particularly T1 where you were turning in too early & consequently running wide at the exit which was ruining your line for T2. Anyway, sorry guys for taking the Cortina, it turned out to be much faster than anything else & consequently made life a bit too easy . I did manage to get some pre-race practice in this week but hadn't managed laps anything near as fast as I did in qually & the race. Congrats to Navin & GT . Also congrats to Mark on the drivers title & Mark (again) & GT on the Div1 title . Cya next week.

Thanks Geoffers, in general I tend to brake too early and turn into apex too early. When I try and go deeper into the corner I tend brake too late and spin or too hard and lock up, going straight on or losing momentum. On good night I manage to find compromise and string a series of laps together.

First off a big congrats to Mark for winning the Championship Congrats to Geoffers for the win as well. Also to Goldtop for a solid pody spot. Was great to see a good turnout as I wasn't too hopeful with very little activity on the forum for this event and the fact that it is Holiday season is was a nice surprise to see so many . I thought the Mustang wouldn't be a strong choice at this track either but it actually handles fairly well. At the race start I thought I braked plenty early enough for turn one but in fact I barely was able to get the pony woad up. I think Geoffers and I touched ever so lightly but not enough to upset either of us so I was glad I didn't make a hash of it. After that just Geoffers gaped me quick and I was now in a good battle with Matt for the next few laps. After a few laps the Mustangs power finally won the battle and around 1/3 through the race I noticed Goldtop was now in 3rd place 8 seconds back and making ground on me. I stepped up my pace just a bit and hoped the tires would hang on. It was a very close battle lap time wise between GT and myself and I did make a mistake dropping a wheel passing a lapped car. So GT was now 3 seconds behind with 3 laps to go but there was enough tire to hang on to second .

A nice race that. Surprised at how quick the rollerskate Renault was through the bends and almost had enough to chase down Navin's tank towards the end. Impressive drive again by my esteemed teamie Geoffers Well done to Mark for the driver's championships. Although I tied with Mark in the Div1 championship, it was decided last time out at Silverstone really where we had an epic battle and Mark came out tops As for the team championships it's Kerbies all the way by the looks of it, so I'll be trying my best at Cadwell to help bring that home.

Looks like its pretty well sown up in the overall & Div1 teams title, but Div2 isn't safe yet so I better drive a Div2 car at Cadwell.
