All members welcome. Time of Day Setting: 14:00 Start: STANDING Tyre wear: Normal Fuel consumption: Normal Server: simracing.org.uk SCC Password: see aboveNotes: (1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. (3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read Autopit="0" Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable. (4) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings pageSpecial Notes: None

Am I missing something in my pack? Cause there is no 427KW Cobra. There's a 427 model, with 354KW.

It just downloaded the Cobra pack and the skin pack linked in the post, and it works for me Syd as I can get a 354 kW Cobra ....... did you click the GTC 65 class ?
Unlike in P&G, the default setup seems to be rather good here, and I just increased the limit on the differential slip to 50 % and set the final gear ratio to max.
But still, are there any good tips for the setup for the Cobra 427 ?
Thanks in advance
Stih

I can select the 354KW Cobra. What I was referring is first post. Tony says 427KW Cobra, and there's no 427KW cobra. Just 427 model, with 354KW. Possibly just a typo from Tony, but I would like to confirm it.

427 kW ? ..... he, he You might need to put some glue on the tyres in order to make use of 572 BHP in a Cobra from the sixties Stig

Well spotted Syd. Indeed it's a mistake which has now been corrected.

Should be able to make this one now, if that's ok.
I've run a few laps on the server, and all is working ok, and am looking forward to it.

I should make this one as well. Not a huge fan of Riverside, but the Cobra sure gives it a new face.........

Well, that was really enjoyable again.
Qual:Had a good battle with Geoffers for Pole, with Geoffers coming out on top. I'd got in a decent early lap, and through the session, it looked like it was gonna get beaten a few times (going by sector 1 & 2 times), I was eventually pipped late on in the session.
Race:My start was OK, but I'm never great off the line, and lost a couple of places. Going into the uphill right, I saw Oliver Rakonjac running wide (also suffering from a bit of lag), I tried to stay tighter to the right, but we had slight contact as Oliver returned to the track, and again just after the next corner. I think the lag maybe had a big part to play in it.
I then had a couple of laps following Oliver & Syd, while watching Geoffers disappear up the road. Got by Syd out of the last corner, then past Oliver on the back straight shortly after. Bad luck Geoffers, and well done Navin for a great run in the 289.
The middle part of the race was pretty quiet. Mostly following Phil, who'd had a very early and long pitstop. Shame, 'cos we seemed evenly matched for time.
Then with a couple of laps to go, the gap to P1 suddenly closed, and a mistake at the hairpin saw me into the lead for the final 2 laps to the flag (albeit a bit lucky in the end).
Great to see 15 Cobras rumbling around, on a track that although simple, has a great flow.
Thanks for the organisation, and see you on track again soon.
