Had not seen the cars until qual, so did a rough setup that was not too bad except the engine braking kept
wanting to spin into corners, was surprised by Syd's pace in the Spit, the GT6 "should" be way faster on
the straights if a little nose heavy in corners, dithered a bit in the pits messing with fuel settings
changed fronts only as I reckoned others would not change at all, and my front left was 1/2 worn
came out 20 secs behind Syd. Might have caught but I got wobbly into the chicane and lost another 10 secs.

Embarrassed Hit by Hristo early in the race going into the chicane which bent my suspension. Lost 2 seconds per lap from then on and the left front tyre wore out quickly due to damage resulting in the car under steering into right hand turns.  Undecided  Sorry if I held anyone up. Enjoyed the race up to being hit by my team mate whom failed to wait yet again.  Embarrassed

I didn't hit you, Mark, I was going on your inside and you started turning when we were braking for the corner. Nothing I could do anymore at that point, you just closed the little room you had left me on the inside before that. My car went over the curb and I was given a cut track warning (ridiculous) which later became a stop/go penalty. Then I went over the pitlane speed limit when I was serving that and decided enough is enough.

The race was interesting until that point, I was just beginning to get the hang of driving that car. It's a shame how totally terrible the default setup was though, as it took me most of the qualifying session to correct it.

As for the waiting remark, I better pretend I didn't see it, otherwise I may say something worse next time something like that happens. I waited for people a lot more than any of you did in all races I've done so far in UKGTL. It's just not something I brag about and most people don't realize it. And FYI I would never close a door or defend like you did there, especially when it's so early in the race and we're not even fighting for victory, or the championship. It's common sense, at least to me.

Thanks Henry but due to my own efforts I had slowly worked my way down to the end of the field many time last night. thumbdown

Apologies to all those I hit or delayed, problem with this sort of race, you're not certain whose behind you - lifted early on and lost position to Eifelblitz.  hammer  Also spun someone on lap I in the chicane and when I waited to rejoin was hit up tail for my sins. sorry to all involved.  Sad

Set new PBs in both practice and race.  Made reasonable start and after a while caught up with Tony but I did a typical BTCC move and got a track cut warning on the entrance to chicane and in the second part ran wide.  Roll Eyes  After that I had to be careful not to repeat it - succeeded in running wide 3 or 4 times.  Huh Everytime I seemed to close on Tony I screwed up somewhere and lost time, eventually I was too far behind to bother.   surrender

Eifelblitz and I had our usual battle for last place - had some fun we each had our strong and weak sections so it was all attack/defend line.    rockon

First night race we've had with cars with no lights scaring life out of you when it overtook.

Not much to add, Bill.

Difficil setup and handling for all cars - so I decided for the Macau, because I had hoped that
it would have been as fast as the GT6 due to much less weight, but it wasn't.
The power of the GT6 was just too strong  Sad
First half of the race was ok, when pitting I changed tyres too, which possibly was needless.
During second half I lost my rhythm, made some mistakes and wasn't able to leave my last place.
Nice fight with Bill - as usual - one small issue as one of the leaders and me at the same time tried to pass Bill
on both sides Wink (possibly nice to watch in the replay) - sorry for that Bill.
BTW: very difficult to see the overtaking guys in rear mirror never mind to recognize them in the dark.
Nevertheless also a new pb as usual.
I think there still would be more possible with a better setup. We'll see.

Was fun to race at night again. Thanks for organizing this series to Tony and all involved.
Nice to see some new (old) faces and a nice turnout too!

CU next time.
