Was going to be tough with the wet track. That 997 just wouldn't go in a straight line even on the straights the back end kept sliding. went on the grass a wee bit on lap 3/4 thought I had it under control then the back end just went. Sorry whoever it was that got caught up in the spin I could do nothing to stop me from sliding there. See you next week for the LMP2's.

i was going ok until i got a stop/go for cutting the track (more due to skidding off under braking in the wet than cutting corners!) when i stopped at my pitbox, i was expecting it to tell me to go off again, but the pitboard came up and in the confusion i pressed escape  Angry

do you normally get the pitboard when you stop for a stop/go?
i must admit i didnt read anything on the pitboard in the confusion, it caught me off guard, maybe it wasnt asking me if i wanted fuel/tyres?

It was probably asking you if you wanted to make a stop and go pit or a normal service pit.

The race was fun for me.

I enjoy the challenge of racing in the wet. I was able to stay reasonably close to Berger and Jon in the early stages of the race and I managed to pass Jon at one point after he made a mistake. It was looking pretty good until I did not put enough fuel in the car during my pit. That is what you get for being unprepared and trying to work the fuel out while driving.

I realised that I had probably miss calculated after passing both Jon and Berger in the pits. I had to make a 2nd stop and did not put enough fuel in then either and had to coast to the finish.

Its good fun to race in the rain every now and again. Smiley

Well done all, grats Berger, Jon and TT.

I had a decent enough race. It wasn't the nicest of feelings being very slow on the straights and very quick in the corners. I drove the wrong race really and pushed far too hard making a couple of errors costing me more time than I gained by pushing. I decided that if I was going to have any chance of victory I needed to jump Berger in the pits so I opted for no change of tyres at the stop. This worked but the tactic was a waste when again I made a mistake and put a wheel beyond the curb at corner entry and slid into the sand to let Berger past...Not that I would've held him up for long anyway Grin
I thought H@L had the race in the bag but he came in for a last minute splash and dash. Unlucky H@L Sad
Grats to Berger tho' on another good performace Cool
Well done to all who raced Cool

2nd in quali is not bad, considering a BiT combo + rain. Smiley Was with Berger from the start, Jon and H@l close behind until I had a major lag - I had a frozen pic for more than 5 sec and I believed I was gonna have CTD when it jumped back in. Saw both Jon and H@l went by and I'm very glad they managed to get beside me without crashing. Anyways, lost about 10 sec there and my concentration was not high up then. Fell behind and then clawed back to close the gap a bit. Came as close as 8 sec to Jon, then the tyres started to overheat and small mistakes made it 12 sec again. I thin I gave up around 10 min before the end, just couldn't drive on this side of the edge anymore. H@ls 2nd pit made things a bit better. Wink All in all I'm happy with 3rd.

Was a tought race, I think I would prefer more rain, if we have it. Wink Was searching for wet spots ( Tongue ) but there weren't all that many. Rears went up to 130'C all red and angry. Nice to see some old faces back. Smiley

It was a good race, til the first stop & go. Started last, I was closing the gap slightly lap alter lap to the leading drivers. At the first pit I put the soft slick both front and rear, and the choice was really good. Unfortunately, I received a stop & go, after 2 "cuts" at the Ascari. By that moment I realized that I didn't put enough fuel to finish the race, and evenmore I received another stop & go. So I had to do another 2 stop. After the splash and go, at the last lap, I went into the gravel outside the Ascari, hitting the wall. Race over.
However it was funny enough 'til it lasted. Fastest lap after the pit was only a cold comfort.

Grats to the podium and to all the drivers that managed to see the checkered flag Smiley

see you
