Could have been a nice one - like this track, a great turnout again and great times on top!

But in lap five I came on the green and found a small spot which ended in nirvana  Sad

I got disqualified! That's never happened before! I was going okay there I thought; I'd managed to avoid most of the first lap chaos, made one good overtake, got to about three laps, then got booted for ignoring a stop go penalty which I never saw. Can anyone enlighten me?

With the practice time I put in, I found myself about 4th on the grid (way higher than normal & chuffed).
Lap1 Turn 1 & I'm pushed round from behind, hit the wall & some more bumping. No cars showing any kind of caution, causing more contact & others to spin. So there I am with suspension & aero damage having lost about 6 places no
So from there the back end was a bit more wobbly & rears running hotter but I was still able to clock up some good times, even managed a 1:00.5 to beat my pre-race time so it's all good at this point as I'm making my way back up the order slowly.

Well it was till a certain white Alfa changes his direction 3 times approaching & then entering the braking zone to T1 to stop me passing (with ease). The result is I spin trying to avoid him & that's it my rear tyres are cooked (as he disappears off into the distance Angry) and after another half a lap I call time after another spin.

Thanks chaps, really appreciate the pounding I took out there. Think I must have been hit by about 7 different drivers over just 14 laps! Well worth practicing for.

Are we really trying to turn the once clean, gentleman drivers UKPnG into wreckers central censored

For sale:-  One very beat up Ferrari 250GT  surrender but the old girl got me home in 9th despite steering damage and plenty of missing body parts  Grin

That was a tough long race, felt more like an hour than 40minutes! sweatdrop

Couldn't string a good lap together through most of qually and was languishing down in 15th until about my last 3 runs of the sesh which clawed me back up to a more respectable 9th.
Race start was hard as don't think anyone from 7th on could see any lights  Huh Then I got assaulted from behind by an Alfa that thought it could smash its way past me  Roll Eyes Got past the chaos at T1/T2 only to then get spat off a kerb at T3 into the path of Legzy and another  scared sorry about that chaps, Embarrassed lost both my headlights in a fezza kiss with Legz and many places  :'(
Made some recovery passes only to get punted off from behind by another Alfa  Roll Eyes got more damage and lost time.
Rest of the race went well once I got clear track and I pursued Nik for a long time, closing him down to a few secs when he quit.
Straight after that it went pear shaped again as I let John (race leader) past but then had tons more power than him up the hill. In my quandary whether to overtake or sit behind him, I followed him into the Alfas devishly short braking zone...no good in the fezza! and I spanked the tyre wall hard at T1  :'(
Lost my hard earned 9th place to Ross? in his chasing Alpine and about 20 seconds with a now damaged suspension car.
Last 8 laps were hard work and finished a decidedly average 9th place. Not too bad considering the escapades, contact and quick drivers about.  Smiley

Apologies and thanks to all the backmarkers who moved over. I couldn't thank you with a courtesy flash as my headlights were laying in the sand somewhere  Grin
Well done to the podium and all who finshed a tough race.  thumbup1

First of all - big apology for first lap!

My PC was frozen for couple of seconds (first image after that was me pushing ferrari) and complete first lap was so laggy. After another mayhem created by me in last corner I was seriously thinking of quiting but then everything start to work fine ... until lap nr39 when I, finally had disco.

Two more apologies to Mark J (missing braking point) and frex (if you are abut to lap me, use your lights please - didn`t see blue flag) and I really hope that this is last time for me being so apologetic ...

Les,

That sounds like you jumped the start. Not surprising, considering that most of the grid couldn't see the start lights!

I posted a 1:01.055 in qualifying, and then was diconnected with about 7 minutes to go. Amazingly, my first lap out after I returned was exactly the same time! I ended up P9 on the grid, but lost a couple of places at the start because I couldn't see the start lights. However, there was a bit of a "scuffle" through the next couple of corners, which elevated me back up to P7. I spent the next few laps slowly closing the gap to Clive's Corvette, and then spent the rest of the race about two seconds behind him.

I was rather pleased to finish P5 in this race. The Mustang was not an easy drive at this track, but I seemed to get into some kind of rhythm early on, and stayed there. Maybe I was hypnotised by staring at Clive's arse for half an hour?  blink  lol

Pretty sure everyone can see start lights here, you just need to know where to look. From out 10th back you need to look at the extra lights on the right of the track. Found this out when doing some offline practise races. thumbup1

I was on the left side of the track, so I suspect that those lights were hidden behind another car.

That was it then. My wheel was misaligned going out to the grid and the car nudged forward as it righted itself. I rolled back a bit, but i suppose it makes no difference. Ah well...

First of all - big apology for first lap! My PC was frozen for couple of seconds
Ah, that might explain the stationary Corvette just after the downhill right/left at the start  Shocked , certainly gave me a shock.  I managed to move to the left onto the grass, but ended up getting a bit of damage from the barrier on the inside. My sudden slowing may have scared a few behind me too!

Lost a load of places, and found myself from P8, down in 12th or 13th, behind Syd in his Alfa, and lapping slower than I'd like really, but I couldn't get by, even though I felt I was a lot quicker.  I soon had Mark in his Ferrari closing on me, and he flew by, only to lose ground again as per his post.  Mark got by again soon after, only to hit trouble later in the race.

Eventually I got by Syd, and was then running 1.5 to 2 secs per lap quicker, but was sadly well behind the guys ahead.  Gradually closed on a few, and got lucky from other experiencing issues, and ended up in P7.  1 place higher than I'd qualified, so that was ok.  Although my best lap time was quicker than the 3 cars ahead of me, so it was an opportunity lost there.

Odd trouble joining too.  Weird really.  I'd been on earlier in the evening with 3 or 4 others, but joining later on the evening, kept getting CTD.  Ended up adjusting to another resolution to get it to run, though I'd used the other rez @ Keimola last week...odd  wacko .
