Chose the Aston as I had a good, albeit slow, setup from the race at RaceConnect last Wednesday night. Sure enough I qualied at the Gentlemen Drivers end of the grid. Managed to pass Erling during lap 1 but he rallied and overtook me on the long long straight. He then popped in to the fresh air ahead of me and we collided. Pretty sure I didn't accelerate so he must of braked. Anyways the whole manoeuvre took me by suprise. He managed to come to a halt at the bend without hitting anything so I carried on. I didn't slow to let you pass me back Erling as I didn't think I was at fault. Post an incident report if you feel otherwise mate ok?
Remainder of the race was quite special as I was in the middle of a three (sometime four) car train. I was following and trying to catch and pass Misnoimis with Steve keeping me honest just behind me. All three of us had some pass attempts and it proved to be all rather exciting in a kinda non- alien sort of way.
Most enjoyable evening I hope you all agree.
Next ones at Zandvoort, that should be good  yes Hope you can all make it. Be well Erling, no-one wants to see a driver of your quality parked up.

Thanks Tony, Bill & Kurt; I am indeed well, which I got confirmed at an examination today, so no worries  Smiley

No worries about our incident either Tony.  I did brake, as that was my normal brake point, but obviously the Aston could brake later, if you didn't have to at the same point. Considering the rest of the race, it didn't matter at all, so good that you didn't waste time letting me back past  yes

Cheers,
Erling

I thought it was a really good race, too. Plenty of blind bends and mid-bend braking. The 3 car train certainly kept me focused 99% of the time and from where I was placed, at the tail end of course, the drivers ahead of me (Tony and Misnoimis) looked very professional. The 1% was when I thought it a good idea to test the durability of my Mercs paint by sliding on the passenger door side for about 20 secs I think (not seen the replay yet). At least it gave my tyres a rest.

After my problems due to not downloading all cars in previous ISMA and Fifties Sprint Series I have now been able to complete the last race in both series with no problems in loading my set ups.

I drove the Aston, I don’t think my setup improved the handling a lot. I was O K with the braking but struggled when applying the power.  I did manage to bring it home without a scratch on the paintwork. Unfortunately you don’t get points for that.

However the evening provided one of the most enjoyable races for some time for me. I had a hugely enjoyable race with Tony and Steve.  I made one slight error too many and Tony just piped me to the line with Steve close behind. Let’s hope we can have some more races like that. The driving was very clean.

Grats to winner and podiums and thanks to all.  clap

Ok. My bad. I listed him under another drivers name. Now fixed in results. Sorry for the confusion.

Erling...    I saw your car parked for many a lap on the rise up the back straight.  Had me scratching my head.  Very relieved to learn that you are now well again.  Smiley

Fun race for me despite an early pile-driver incident in the New World hairpin.  Gotta love those British six-lungers!
