as not daring to close race like I did in GTR2.
Yeah, for me though I have no such worries and happy to race as close as GTR2 (depending on the opposition! Wink)
Do you have frame rate issues?
Are you using vsync or frame limiter?

Found relevant posts to PgUp / PgDn Shark, seems like it helps people, will try it.
I'm pretty sure my bright track issues are a bug in triple screen rendering, but possibly SLI (or combination) as I think I've read that before somewhere.

MJ, I never found our GTR2 races so jumpy (again, it's getting better, but in the begininning it was  Lips Sealed ) and my connection seems fine in games like WoT where ping and stable conn really counts.
Maybe your framerate is an issue then? The sub-systems in AC seem a lot more connected than GTR2, so if graphics are not smooth then the rest of the game suffers too.

But that's what makes me think it's maybe a problem your end TT as I am able to literally sit on the bumper of cars in AC like I did Bobs Nissan last night, it was exhilarating able to race so damn closely! Likewise in the Dtm or M3 series I've been competing in. Me and Sharky had a great close scrap for many laps last week Cool
Happy to share some car setups too TT, if your struggling with 'soft' cars.

Will agree the time of day settings are sometimes ill advised for mp racing as there can be sun glare in some corners but then why should we race in perfect conditions all the time? All part of the challenge.

Glad the new drivers enjoyed themselves last night, spread the word!

Is there a schedule for the races for this and the Dtm cup series? With my usual Thursday Esra races now cancelled I can get a little practise in as wife's out on Thursdays  Smiley

Grin Grin Was really hoping you had forgotten fill up again Mark J, I cracked under the pressure in the end. Time of day for me was spot on, very realistic and made for a good event. Think it's time for these type of races to be a bit longer, pit stops maybe included to add to the fun, only my take on it I've no idea on how it could be implemented.

IMHO pit stops suck in this game, but they do work, so if you want to use them fine, but I would say Endurance races are best with big grids otherwise people can get quite lonely.

I'm happy to race different time of day settings, but that should include midday and 2pm still! :-)

Agree totally, but if the Wednesday night races increase in numbers it would be one to think about further down the line, I'm not meaning mega long races, just long enough not to be too tiring, age rapidly caught up here!

Not being a computer boffin a lot of this netcode talk just goes straight over my head. However the other night when racing on Core I had significant warping issues. Turns out the wife was downloading something while I was racing. I'm getting an uprated internet connection next week - fibre optics I think, which hopefully will sort the problem. Meanwhile the wife has been banned from the internet when I'm racing!

regards Chris

Shark, thats your pp filter whoch is causing that, its the hdr balance.. I will upload my personal one which ive tweaked, it looks better and it doesnt have the screen going bright or dark (auto hdr balance)

I love racing in low light gives a lovely atmosphere.

Thx. I wonder if I just reset the game settings whether it will fix it, but argh fiddle, fiddle, fiddle. Wink

Yeah, occasionally, but every AC race I've done for the past few months seems to be low light and it gets a bit samey and annoying. Kiss

For me personally 75mins of racing have the perfect balance between being able to use different strategies and not being to exhausting for an old man Smiley
Double fuel consumption may increase the immersion of strategy risks and so on. Cool

I had only 1 or 2 warps of Bob in front of me, where i was scared that a crash is near by ..... but in general Kunos seems to have fixed it "a bit" ... it's not that bad as at the beginning.

With the user of PLP and stracker i find AC more or less league compatible ... if Kunos is using communities feeback it could be as great as rFactor was in appr. 1 year imo.

cheers

I would love to do endurance races, but unfortunately I can't health wise. My max I can hold out to race is 30 minutes or 2 of 25 minutes, with a break in between the 2 of 10 min.

I now have installed my computer from scratch and I hope this will solve my ping problems.

Dont mean to sound harsh but race lengths shouldnt be dictated by 1 drivers health..

I'm not asking for anything Chris, just stating where I stand. What ever the choice will be I'll stand by it and wont moan about it (unlike some)

Kk.

Nice to know. I mean there is nothing stopping you starting and pulling into pits when you have had enough.

Whats up with ya that stops you doing the longer races?
