What a great race and an incredible result. Qualified 6th which I was very happy with. Made a great start and just held position on the outside but saw a car fly across the pack at turn 1 which caused a bit of a mess. Came out in 3rd and set about chasing Simon and Thomas. It wasn't long before Alexey and I had our usual race battle but he was too quick and dropped me to 4th. A few laps later and NFSW came past dropping me to 5th. I was able to hold FMG back and then came across spinning Alexey which put me back up to 4th. Kept my head down and ended up finishing 4th.

So love Monza, I always have grest races here and watching the replay is epic, the cars look amazing.

AAAAnd... Wink Mark. Sorry but why it was 16 laps race? Official 1st post ( and my prerace prac ) was 15...

Baikal = 1st post has said 16 for as long as I've noticed. It shows as last edited on Friday last week so I wouldn't exactly call it changed at the last minute Wink

My race went well as I managed to stop myself from trying too hard at the beginning finally (My achilles heel for most rounds of this series!) so didn't spin  Grin
5th as a result  angel

I jumped Pete on the grid and decided to steal his position into T1, as that may have allowed me to get up alongside the car in front when the field bunched.
Instead I was greeted with a view of carnage so dropped right back in order to gain some manoeuvring space all around so I could try to avoid being involved.
Looks like I had harder contact with Stefan than I thought while giving the 2 spinners some room - sorry Stefan, glad I managed to accidentally punt you straight again as well.  Smiley

Well that race effectively ended my great 3 way championship battle with FMG and Linus for 5th  :'(
Couldn't believe the bad luck I was getting with spinners or contacts in front of me forcing avoiding action surrender must admit I also got myself spat off on one occasion  Embarrassed on an exit out of the 2nd chicane when as high as 7th I think.

My best lap in qually was ruined by a car spinning at Parabolica in front of me...just wasn't to be tonight  Sad

I was pretty annoyed to see a car spearing across the t1 chicane from the back of the pack after several of us had mentioned don't go mad on cold tyres  Roll Eyes I don't know who it took out but it caused chaos and split the pack up way too soon.
Had some good chases for next few laps until my spin cost me 4-5 places and I dropped to 12th and lost a lot of time. Was joined by Maikel and the pair of us started to claw our way back up the grid until several Laps later when all our hard work was undone by Les losing it at Parabolica. I had to take to the gravel hard left to miss his car and lost about 4 places all over again  taz
Then had a great battle with Apex that lasted a few laps and took some brave braking to stay ahead, enjoyed that!
Also had to give up two spots when I outbrKed myself at lesmos to Pete and Eck, just one of those nights  Roll Eyes
Finished a crap 11th and now 7&10pts behind my season long rivals with only Spa remaining.

Congrats to Thomas on the win, that sets you up for great final race v Nfsw  Smiley with Shark stalking behind.

Maikel I do believe is the Porsche cup Series champion with a round to go  I Am Not Worthy thumbup1

Sorry to hear you lost out Mark... I got rear ended, finished up in the barriers and got going again in 15th place after running 9th or 10th I think. Then later on I had to take evasive action to miss a rejoining car and rear ended someone else.

Ahh, once again not the race I hoped for  Sad

The evening started great with pole position, start was ok, Maikel and me went side by side into turn 1 when suddenly a car went straight across the chicane and slammed into both of us.
Rejoined the race in P10 with a significantly damaged car. Began to climb up the order again, started the last lap of the race in P3, just behind Simon, but wasn't able to overtake him. In the end Thomas, Simon and me were just seperated by less than one second, sadly we are only doing 30 minute races here Grin

That was me on both times  Grin

Was even going off the throttle before the braking zone as I wasn't faster even with slipstreaming. But the brakes were just not in the mood for it.

Same a few laps later I hit Apex. Was right behind in a corner where he went abit slower then I anticapated and just nudged him. Thought I wait that one out on the grass and the you had to evade him and ran into me  Tongue
Thought it best to drive back to the pits and watch the race from there. Was abit "Murphys Law" tonight for me  Grin

Payback! At last!  Wink

That's been the story of my championship... I qualify near the back, make a good start, avoid the chaos at the first corner, make up some places, get swiped off the track, rejoin at the back, finish pretty much where I started...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSNa0bcvfbo

dude.. spinning out at this spot in that fashion has nothing to do with how much wing you run, as its not aerodynamic oversteer that got you into that slide.

you just clipped the very slippery curb with a high amount of load on the outside tyres, causing the left rear to lose traction and slip away.
happens 11/10 times when attacking the corner like that.

you shouldve taken the corner with a more straight exit, getting all the rotation done before the exit and then touch the outside curbs in a line that puts only little stress on the outside tyres to prevent said situation.

It was rather a rhetorical question  Smiley In overall i lost my rear axle yet before touching curb ( see blue bar under Gears app). But i agree - i must to be less aggresive it this place due Kunos limitations  Grin

What mod is that with those blue bars and the dots on the RPM counter? I guess that's torque range?
And bottom right is damage shown in numbers?

It's my "Baikal HUD" not published complex app. Still in 3 years progress, improves when needed  Smiley . Blue bars- it's car "axle going out of control" indication based on slip angle\ slip rate AC tyres shared memory parameters. Colored squares and rounds-  slip and braking parameters of each tyre. And yes- i have damage numbered app ( built in).
I can share simplificated numbered damade indicator app for you and others . It's other authors app and dont have voice support when damage changed but working fine and clear.  Smiley
