Good fun despite both my races being ruined by poor driving by others, never seen such blatant blocking
and running people off onto the grass, TC or not. Was fun to have a meaningless race all the same  Cool

Did anyone get a replay? not sure if I've done something to my install, but I get no replays with these cars?

Sorry to Bob? (I think it was you) for the hit in Race2, but you were changing lines constantly and I came from behind with much more speed and had nowhere to go.

Otherweise race one was excellent. After a bad quali I started from P5, fought my way to P2 and started to hunt down Fabri, but he was very fast as well. We did nearly identical laptimes, not more than 1 second seperated. At the end I sadly got blocked by a lapped car and lost connection to Fabri.
Race 2 was a bit messy, especially turn 3 ( the 90° right hander). It happened two times that I was in a row of cars going down to that corner and one car out of that row spun entering the turn blocking the road and everybody behind crashed as well.

not to worry, my first race for a long time and had big steam up in the rift making it hard to see, changing lines is normal for me, bad eyesight and arthritis contributes  eek See u all next week had fun.

phew, that was two high octane action packed opening rounds !  Shocked

I quite enjoyed that despite getting done over by those pesky Shark boys in both races! Must have some tag-team arrangement to smash into me  shifty  laugh ..same corner too! The nasty right hander at the bottom of the hill in sector 1.

I was drenched in sweat at the end of both races, and i'm reasonably fit!  Tongue

Race 1 Got a decent enough start and all went well until I got walloped from behind quite heftily at forementioned corner. Don't know what happened behind me but just saw sharks car bouncing all over me. This cost me 3 places I think. I was still a bit bemused by it when shark pounced past near end of lap 1. But after that I had a cracking chase with Simon for many laps until he eeked away from me ( I blame my damage  Wink ) and even my team-mate got past me and pulled a gap that I couldn't close. Pete A put a late charge on me but finished just ahead.
Race 2 started 3rd but soon dropped a few cars as the nutters came past  Grin was holding my own until I got hit quite hard by Pete at same downhill corner, can only think he got out of shape under braking and steamed into me but quite an impact that sent me spinning off. Feared heavy damage again but managed to have a great battle with Alexey until we had a tangle (my fault at same flipping corner!) I touched the brakes whilst on the dirty (right) side and my car just speared around into him. Rejoined a couple of cars down but we soon fought past them but once again I just couldn't stay with his car and he pulled a decent gap. Nsfw closed right up at the end but ran out of time to get by me.

Good fun, nice grid, and welcome to the two new Flying Finns and congrats to the two race winners, Fabri and then Jari  thumbup1

Am sure there will be some complaints about contacts as I saw a few, but its the first races, close pace and on a tricky undulating track so keep calm and report any incidents as per the norm if you feel hard done by,  thanks for racing all  euro

Was being cautious in race 1, but the inevitable and got smashed into from behind into the first sharp right hander. No idea what really happened there as no replay from the first race. I think I ended up 6th or 7th though with incidents ahead :-(

Second race I started 5th and was into 3rd as Jonzo was napping at the lights. Probably could have had 3rd, but snatch a brake into the last corner and whacked the barriers putting me down to 4th. Car was pretty damaged, lapping over a second slower and hideous understeer meant FMG got past pretty easily. Was lucky that everyone else was so far behind that I stroked it home for 5th.

Good to get back in the saddle, after months off, but the graphics looked awful with the grey clouds and everything was so dated and plain. Hope they can sort out the performance of ACC, cause that looks nice, but runs like a dog.

Race 1 Had a decent start and thought it would be alright after T1 went without incidents. Then had to slam the brake into the sharp right. Altough i had adjusted the brake bias to compensate for the cold tires it still tried to come round on me and i clipped the inner curb. That was probably the shunt Simon and Mark felt. Sorry if it was me. Was certainly no intantional ramming for sure. Cant really tell as R1 replay did not save for me. I Let Simon and Mark get by again and started the chase and i think finished 7th in the end.
Perhaps someone can upload under the replay header on this website?

R2 I started at the front and made a good start again and gained a place going downhill. Had Jari to chase and Simon hot on my tail for half of the race. Eventually Fabri came up from behind which made it a 3-way battle to the finish. All in all nice and close racing all.

Video recap of Fabri going through the field, so you can see lot of action from the second race. Unedited, but nice to watch:

Thanks for the race, guys!
Was Q third and reached the same to mine record time. Tongue
In races setup i've  make a mistake using 1 click softer springs. It helps in overall 3rd turn area stability But car becomes toooo lazy in other turns after a couple of laps. Embarrassed Can't manage the car properly in 1st turn , so, the long battle with Kimi with going to grass in 1st turn with widEST exits was like a wonder  Shocked for him but it was a shame for me  Grin IMHO yes, the default set is close to ideal here. Love this car. Needs to manage brake balance during. FMG- you are brainy as usually! Thanks for the fight!  Smiley
I like this races. First was P3-P5 , second- P8 -P7. Was very fun to fight with FMG, nfsw55 ( exelent overtake! but you are so risky boy)  Grin, Kimi ( thanks for your patience, man!) and MarkJ ( don't worry about accident!  Smiley ) . Very impressed in overall pilots skill and track culture ( as always in UKAC).
Fabri was just fast as usually  Smiley Congratulation to winners and podium!
My onboards. Not edited. A lot of battles ( if some film skiped). Again, i've forgot to turn off some apps for races  Cheesy
See you are all in Vallelunga! It will be not so crazy races due more calm   track config, imo.  Wink
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKcZAuovB00
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLc06uwWc1I

PS Is grid was correct for 2nd race? I've forgot to make a screens after sessions (was 3 month stoped in racing )) I've lost in how to drive and how to make screenshoots  Grin )

now the dust has settled, hope everyone enjoyed that last night. It was a bit more frantic than we are used to, as these cars tend to race within inches of each other if you get several on similar pace. The qualifying grid was very close!  Shocked
its definitely more hussle and bussle than GT racing or historics, though a few seemed hell bent on getting past whether it involved contact or not! But really the only corner that caused most of the trouble was the downhill 'S' into the tight right hander, where if you braked offline it invariably caused incidents. Saw a few divebombs down at the last corner too, but its a natural overtaking place and again very tricky due to the undulating track.
Hope nobody got put off, just need to put some practise laps in to be reasonably on the pace  Smiley As already mentioned Vallelunga will be more open than Oulton.

@shark re graphics, got to remember this is a mod pack of cars on a mod track. I thought Oulton looked great personally, just like numerous track days i've done there. The cockpits arent upto Kudos standards but good enough, even with my Rift  Smiley And ACC runs smooth as silk on my pc, so might want to look at your hardware  Wink

AC is great, iRacing is great (not that I play it any more), pCars 2 is great. ACC sucks.

I run triple monitors and SLI GTX970s. They are good enough for everything else but ACC is really poor (graphical performance wise). It looks like SLI is not currently supported, which probably explains the performance issues. Also ACC doesn't implement independent screen rending so the sides are stretched which is a shame too. Hopefully they will sort out both ASAP! :-D

There appeared to be a plain red skin and at least one or two other plain cars on track last night. Anyone know who they were or why they didnt have the correct skin? Most appeared correct. Might have been the un-assigned racers being given default skins  Undecided

To the two flying Finns, can i add you to the driver entry list for next time with a pre-chosen car? If so, let me know your chosen car & skin please.

First of all thanks for races and warm welcomes, yeah, Finns are happy to join for future races. I'll drive Alfa #61 and Jari drivers a Ford (only god know which number) but same that he drove last nite I think. These cars are absolute fun for FWD.
