This race went better than expected.

During my practice laps yesterday I totally hated this car, very slidey and not fun to drive. FMG gave me the tip that the car should be much more enjoyable with race fuel so I decided to give it another chance today.
Qualifying went surprisingly well, although I didn't bother with trying the soft tires I qualified P2.
At the start I lost P2 to Matteo, but everything else went well and I survived the first laps without any issues.
Lap after lap I got more confidence in the car and it actually even started t be fun. Still the car needs to be driven quite difficile. After I let FMG through at some point we had a nice battle for at least 10 laps. I wasn't close enough to start any attacks, but it was enjoyable tho.

Sadly our convoy travel ended when our cars made contact on the start/finish straight due to a slight warp from my side. We both continued and Matteo catched up from behind so we had a three-way battle for half a lap until my long-awaited spin finally arrived  Grin which threw me way behind the other two.

My race ended in P4, not too bad considering my prejudices about the car. But FMG was right, the extra weight from the fuel made it alot better.
Looking forward to the next round.

btw: I agree with you Mark, grid looked beautiful tonight.

Thats why i prefer proper race skins than just plain stock skins  Smiley

Any reason why the results do not record the car or tyre type? Its a standard Kunos car.

And can L4DE add his nationality to his profile so the flags show up right? Ta  Smiley

Other than one particular driver who seemed to treat the race like a public server, the driving standards seemed good from where i saw.

Did you ask Dave to add the car type to the LM2 car roster?
It doesn't matter if it's a stock car or not. It still has to be entered into the roster manually along with the most appropriate tyre manufacturer and if possible specify a desired class.

I PM'ed Dave this morning, when I did the results, asking to have the car added. If the Alfa we're using for next week is the same as a Alfa Romeo GTA Volumetrico then we're sorted if not this will need adding too. I've not mentioned this to Dave.

The majority of the stock skins show Michelin but I do not have the add-on skins so cannot check those.

Just make them all Michelin as its a spec series, i might be wrong but i dont think different skins would run different tyre brands?  Undecided

I think that depends on the individual skin creators. Even AC stock cars have a variety of tyre makes throughout a car model (RRE is even worse).

Highlights from the middle. P8-P11-P6   Smiley
I've forgot to press gas pedal flat when lights was off , this cause an additional turbulence to me , lost 3 position and than had  a good race in overall with many actions. 2 both Mark's-  hihihi  Tongue

Volumetrico = Supercharger/Supercharged if I remember my Italian ( and P&G ) correctly.
Most certainly not the same car, although I won't complain if I can have a Volumetrico instead whistling

To be honest i just amazing every time how fast guys drive BH.  No fear you have guys!  Grin Mark, you was very fast too, all what you needed here is to be some more lucky  : .
I tryed default set which mister Jeff talked is ideal, but found its more risky than i can drive in race. I used my own setup with more wing, softer suspention and dampers, lower camber  in target of race stability. Trying to build camber with new approach. I like it in final.
I was very impressed by your's attempts to catch me in final laps  thumbup1, i've just tryed drove the car with no risk for me and learning tyres telemetry ( not tested the whole race distance  in practice sessions)
Thanks Jeff for replay- i've collect your Q lap for memoriz and learning!  Smiley

yes i had rotten luck this time, always frustrating when you know you have better than normal pace at certain tracks and still dont get a good result.  Cry

These cars are quick enough for exciting racing and yet you can still race closely with another car with them.  Smiley

I still had good pace at the end despite very worn rear tyres and was closing rapidly on shark (could actually see him ahead) as i wanted my 5th place back! But a backmarker went onto the grass around the back of the track and hit me as i went past sending me into the huge spin. Cry and hence why you got back past me.

Must say the Rift once again proved very useful cutting through the traffic here  Cool its so good for looking sideways at another car you are battling into or through a corner. Even more important with these cars as they have the fire bulkhead behind you making it hard to see cars on your 5 or 7 o'clock.

I still need to watch the full replay so i can dish justice if necessary. detective  So far i havent received a single complaint of contact  Shocked odd as i saw the same person hit at least 3 other cars during the race!

And yet the rear view mirror works perfectly Wink
