Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 140s

On the warm up lap Dan Minton loses it at Lesmo 1 and spins the car. He makes a rejoin before the field has passed and causes Edza to brake hard. Paddy Cummins then loses it trying to avoid Edza and goes off.
Dan then overtakes 5 cars on the run down to Ascari. He then ovetakes 7 cars on the straight after Ascari and makes side contact with Demonic Dan while squeezing up the inside at the Parabolica when everyone engages the pit limiter.
The rules are clear on this matter and any driver that loses position on the formation lap must not attempt to gain back any lost positions.
Also any driver who leaves the track on the formation must ensure that they rejoin safely, even if this means letting the entire field through.

  • Dan Mintonpenalty — side contact with Demonic Dan — 2 places lost (plus 6 for penalty points)
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded
  • Dan Mintonpenalty — bad rejoin on formation lap — 1 place lost (plus 6 for penalty points)
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded
  • Dan Mintonpenalty — overtaking on the formation lap — 3 places lost (plus 6 for penalty points)

Server replay time: 553s

On the approach to Roggia Popabawa is braking hard and moves to the inside line as Dan Minton and Rich_A battle with each other directly in front.
Dan leaves a cloud of tyre smoke, Pops brakes cautiously and Maurice gets caught out and clips the rear of Pops' car and spins him out.
Maurice tries to avoid the contact but just tags the rear of Pops as he heads for the gravel in avoidance.
In mitigation Maurice was probably distracted by the cloud of tyre smoke from the cars ahead and also by Pops' slightly early braking. Also, in trying to avoid Pops Maurice gets a stop/go penalty for running onto the gravel so I am reducing the penalty from 2 places to 1.

Server replay time: 560s

After the above incident Pops is left stranded on the kerbing in the middle of the Roggia chicane,
Don is approaching and as he turns in for the chicane he is already under heavy braking and cannot avoid hitting Pops.
The 2 cars bounce off eachother as Sponsored by Ginsters luckily shoots through safely between the colliding NGT Legends Porsches.

What a dumbass, went to garage nice and early .... and selected the Morgan race setup instead of the Mosler .... needless to say I wasn't going to be in contention for anything other than last place and being lapped by everyone.

Gutted.

Yep that was me hitting your car, if it was the one on the s/f straight, the esc key comes to mind.
Oh well we all make mistakes, I know I do, sorry again Zac, just couldn't slow down enough you when you pulled across after letting shark through.

Apart from that it was an awful race, lol.

Indeed, I could b!tch about the guy who pitched me into the barriers, but I wont.  Race was mad with a setup that was horrid after a few laps, must have spun 3 or 4 times and ended up in 11th I think.  Overall pretty happy though, took 1.8s off my PB! Smiley

First time I've ever got "flashed" in quali tonight  Huh. About the dumbest thing I've seen and I had to wait to last race to see it.

Still, no excuse for terrible quali (and I had practiced for that  Roll Eyes). But thanks all for great race and nice to finish race battling new faces (to me anyways) Jan and BigG  Grin. Don't forget what a long way this league has come and, for that, thanks to Dave, Shark, Picnic and co.

Gutted for Mo  Undecided and for the fact those bloody Sharks have done us, I think.

p.s Don, don't forget to report Pops for terrible parking  Tongue

Wow what a race Shocked, qualified 15th and finished 4th , had some great battles through the race .  Made a silly mistake and lost it at the last chicane when lying third and gaining on MarkGP . Sorry who ever it was who hit me as i was sitting in the track , i tried to go onto the grass on the inside but spun the car and ended up sitting in the middle of the track.

Grats to Mark on the win.

Thanks everyone who gave me room to get back to my grid position after making a pigs ear of the pace lap  Wink.

Cheers

Oh well. Not a good race from me. I picked the Vertigo as it was easy to drive and hoped to have a clean race. But boy was it slow! Qualifying went ok but I was really slow and don't think I could have gone potentially better than a 1:59 overall in that car.

The start of the race was ok. A spin on the formation lap didn't harm anything as I thankfully kept it out of the wall. Back on track and I tried to make up a place on Edza into turn 1. I managed to give him a slight push but no harm done although I didn't make up a place. I did make up a few positions then as other drivers ran into trouble but something big was in store for me. I was coming into Lesmo 1 and ran a little wide. I was going quite fast and running on the outside of the track. Just then, I noticed a slow Porsche (Edza) and contact seemed inevitable. And boy Jaysus was it big! Both myself and Edza needed to pit and I felt really bad about what happened, sorry mate. It wasn't done on purpose, I just should have concentrated more and I take absolute full blame for the incident. After the pits, I let Edza pass me out, which was the least I could do. I just trundled on home then trying to not mess up anyone elses day, which I don't think I did.

Happy to finish as always although I'm expecting more than a slap on the wrist from the race officials.

Thanks Dave and Shark and whoever else was involved in moderating and running the races here. It's been fun, albeit my late entry to the series.

Well done everybody on another excellent series of NGT racing, especially CeeJay, Ruskus and Shark on the provisional podium and to GTN, RS and Sharks on the team points.

Fairly uneventful race for me, crap qual left me in a lowly 25th place  Shocked Wow we finally got more than 24 turn up to a GTR event to show off the new server's grunt Wink GTR gave me a few blue flag warnings as it seems to with larger fields, no way was I being lapped on L3 without even spinning  Undecided

From there 1 true pass on Rob, I think it was, and 12 other places gained by others falling off. Mind you I gave a couple back in return at one point  Embarrassed

Here's to some fun races before GTR2 is born  Cheesy

I'm so happy to be back after 5 weeks. That "pause" made me slow during qually, 14th place and probably my worst qually ever.

In the formation lap I gained a pos due to a disco from RS. I know how that feels, so I'll remove that PC for ya, for free Wink

The race was awesome, eventhough there were some moments (Rich_A and TT you've got a pm from me).
I had battle the whole race long. Forming a train with Grinsomat, TT, me and Minton for some laps.
I was surprised to end in 2nd place. Mostly due to drivererrors upfront as I didn't really make any overtaking manouvres. Might be better, as I was a bit rusty tonight.
Grats to MarkGP.

I'll be a video about this race, a sort of tribute to UKGTR, so if you know any good things about this race, SHOUT IT OUT, and I'll put it in the video.
