That was good fun tonight thanks. Great choice of cars and a superb version of castle Combe. The pit entry etc was very realistic (have done track days here in the old 911).

Race 1 was a real blast in the lively Escort and enjoyed chasing Maxime and Tim alternately up front. Shame Tim peeled off for fuel near the end. Finished 2nd  Smiley
Sorry didn’t hang around for race 2, had RL reasons to cut early, so peeled into pits.

Cars looked and felt fab moving around  Cool

Yup, that was good fun and some good cars to get into the racing again. Luvely track this too, even with those chicanes.

Turned up without any praccy or track knowledge so R1 was a bit out of shape here and there. Also using the throttle as a on/off switch didn't help either. For R2 I got my act together and really thouht I was going to be first or second into the first corners, only to see Maxime had an even better start. Could not keep up with those two at the front, but had a blast throwing the Escort around.

Suggestion for next week; have we ever used the Lotus 3-eleven in anger? Might be a nice car.

Sorry for the delay in results - I've asked for a new track entry as we have nothing for the modern layout of Combe (Probably because everything since the GPL version has been such utter carp! Cheesy )
As soon as we have an entry I'll upload.

I'll look at the Lotus Stefan - but if it drives in a modern fashion it's liable to result in a very small grid, I know a lot of our Wednesday night drivers are not interested in modern cars.

Fair enough Tim. My only consideration is if it is any fun to drive. Cool

About the Lotus 3-Eleven, of course Tim is right about the general feeling regarding modern era cars, though I must confess that the only 2 modern cars I sometimes drive (especially when I'm too much tired to 'really' drive) are the 911 GT3 Cup and... the Lotus 3-Eleven indeed : physics look so true imo, she's pretty fun and above all sound is just gorgeous.

So if we quite are in a rush to find something for Wed, I personally have no problem at all with Stefan's suggestion.  angel

Maybe we could just make last Wed Combe entry profitable ? Some drivers who didn't get much time or time at all to learn the track might be fine with re-doing it ?  Wink
