Password: see aboveI had been going to do something at classic Silverstone - but as this frankly excellent version of Combe has been released we'll have to try this out instead! For the non-brits amongst you who don't know the real track, expect something of a shock - as aside from GPL there has never been an accurate model until now. As a result, if you think you know the track then you don't This will be a double header with a full reversed grid because: Touring cars! We'll be using the Ford Escort, Alfa GTaM and Lancia Fulvia S1 for this one. Sounds like a cool combo. I will do my best to be there. Hopefully with a couple of practise laps in the pocket... I see the Alfa has been overhauled for version 1.3, does this mean I can bin my old setups?

Not sure if the setups have changed for the Alfa Stefan These days I just make sure the tyres and gears are ok and adjust the rake and arbs if I think they need it. Nothing else seems to make much difference to me.

I did my S-tracker lap on the Setup from Bremgarten earlier in the year, needs some adjusting but then it would Don't think it's changed much

Argh, sad to read Bob. I'll be there, hoping for my network not to drop me. This wide and bumpy track is pretty technical and gets more interesting with other cars for me. I put a bit of laps at the wheel of the F 512S, was fantastic !

I was too tired yesterday to get behind the wheel, so I'll be taking it easy tonight.
So, you quallify in one of the cars and start heat no2 in one of the other two, correct?

I'm not sure you have to change cars between the races, but was planning to.
1st race in that weird Lancia (she looks to have physics issues imho), very slow compared to the other 2, finish last, and so starting 1st for 2nd race in Escort because I really don't like part of the GTAm behaviour neither.
That Fulvia definitely has something wrong with rear wheels or suspensions, as I can hear some skid noises here and there that have no real explanation to me, especially when parking the car in a low angle turn @20mph, like if it had a rigid rear axle, but it's a FWD...

It's a normal double header - so the server doesn't reset which means you can't change car. As it seems to have a speed disadvantage here (strange given how quick it was at Bremgarten!) I'll switch to the Lancia to make things interesting. Alfa should happily match the Ford with some tweeks, my Bremgarten setup was very understeery which was costing me time here.

Oho, hadn't this in mind, so better to keep a given car grid speaking but what if we just want some variety or driving ? I mean is it a problem apart from binning one's R1 position ?

I'll be in the Alfa. Must admit though, I'm also not a fan of this car or any car from this particular modder. His models look great but they all feel a bit strange and are just awkward to drive imo. Same goes for the Lancia.

From memory when people have done this previously it really messes up the results import - by which I mean it can't be uploaded unless I spend a couple of hours manually editing it!
