Password: see above(Note - I haven't had time to start the server yet! Should be up by tonight (Friday) Another Double header! This time at the recently released Zwartkops raceway in South Africa - It apparently has very high FIA accreditation, but strikes me as a perfect club circuit and is well suited to the 2 cars we'll be running here. Starting with the Russell Alexis Formula Ford for 20 minutes worth of racing (I need to calculate laps - that should occur over the weekend), we will then move on to something more hairy chested - The 289 AC Cobra (Trackday variant) that proved very popular at grindelwald just before we ran the Skoda series As this is a double header I would recommend you practice on the server once I have it up - As there will be a short practice session running before qualifying for race 1 so people get time to get onto the server - but it will be just a 10 minute qualifying session each race and no practice session in race 2. After race 1 finishes stay on the server until you see the "lost connection to the server" message - By the time you reach the lobby the next race should have started up. Timings:Practice: 19:30 - 10 mins Qualifying 1 : 19:40 - 10 mins Race 1 : 19:50 - 17 Laps Qualifying 2 : ~20:15 - 12 mins Race 2: ~20:30 - 18 Laps Cars allowed: Race 1: Russell Alexis Mk14(Be sure to install everything in the archive!) Seeing as how RD have been a 'bit slow' of late I'd recommend downloading well in advance - they seem pretty quick if you download early in the morning still though.

RD downloads are shocking in the last week, anyone know why? half hour for a 366mb DL on superfast fibre broadband ?! might be worth hosting the various downloads on a dropbox temporarily for us guys to grab from (if possible) as for this combo alone i need to download all 3 mods which is telling me i need 3hrs plus!!

As I said before, download it in the morning I was getting 3.5 to 4 meg a second when I updated the mods Friday morning. Why just race 1 spanner? You realise this isn't the monster 427 we're using? (which is actually fantastic here) The trackday 289 was really popular when it was tested a while back

What are we supposed to do with the 'extension' folder in the formula ford mod?
Something half modern that handles. great i'm in. Something that has to be driven sideways all the time isnt really something i prefer. And harder with my single seater style wheel.

The extension folder goes into the root Assetto Corsa folder as per the DL page instructions. If you don't have one don't worry and just stick it there (your directory path should be as follows: xx:/steam/steam apps/Assetto Corsa/ EXTENSION = the first bit will vary dependant on where your AC install lives) - It gives you some of the fancy shaders that CM uses, but without you needing to have CM. They may work without but some textures will be off or horrible. As for the Cobra - the trackday variant that we're using is a modernised version of a late model AC 289. That means you get independent rear suspension ( ), plus decent tires and brakes and more power than the standard car (It's actually a couple of seconds faster than the FF's as a result) - it's faster when not driven sideways, not that that stops me Give it a go before you set your mind fully, it's a great car

eh odd bug, I setup a server to run a few laps in the cobra with my pal and it didn't work at all until I copied the skins folder from 289 sports to 289 sports trackday ! no idea on speed, I am so rusty now - but Keiichi Tsuchiya would approve, that car is a riot
