Could have been worse..... Could have been the 917-30 Tongue

I think that the 962 should be fine once warm - it has about 2 tonnes of downforce to help us out and  was epic on every circuit we raced it on in the old series Wink

Cool Awesome combo. Been thinking for a while I’d love the 962’s again.
Only caveat might be can it handle those tight cambered twists of the mountain without bottoming out ? A high ride wouid feel naff in a downforce car  Undecided

How will 100% damage stop it? No one does it on purpose. I think we are all people here don't treat this as an arcade.

Would you like to get to end up in the garage after 2 laps?

The Long tail is a Le Mans special - it was never run anywhere else because it didn't have enough downforce.
Basically you'd go very fast down Conrod and then walk the rest Wink

I dids some laps on the server last night, and while I won't say it's easy - this combo is VERY rewarding Cool

I have no idea what can be done about S-tracker btw, don't think that's anything to do with us

Agree, long tail just wouldnt work in the mountain twisties, back end would be bouncing off the walls in a pendulum  Tongue
Though a Mazda 787 might have been a more appropriate Grp C car in the far East  Cool

Hopefully get some laps in at the weekend, though i'm fully engaged in my fierce current weekly GT3 season at present.  This combo is too good to miss out on some laps. Makes me want to plug my VR back in! i went back to using triples, 24's, which are equally ace but love the immersion of VR in old cars/single seaters.

Maybe stracker has had an update/patch that the server needs?

Just restarted it - still no change.

Found the issue - I have to have the sat/sun S-tracker running too.
I disabled that server last week as it's been unused for months (I've been considering hi-jacking it for some of the practice rounds)

This isn't 100% true : We always attack more in virtual than in real. There is a world in which you put your passion, your money, even your life on the table and the other, only your evening.. So yes we all, even the most serious guys here, treat this more or less as an arcade, as we all virtually just *died* at a moment or another.

My point is just that going for 100% dmg in place of 70%, is psychologic : well knowing that, would tend to make us much more cautious and much less "hungry after this car ahead". Anyway in one direction or the other, some drivers will end their race into a wall, for sure. 70% dmg 'only' won't prevent one from taking serious dmg enough to stop his race, or waste it.
Then I would always be for 100% dmg if you'd ask me, so...  Roll Eyes Grin
