Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 63s

Mike was following Syd closely around turn 1 on the first lap. Syd was defending the line into turn 2 and started to brake quite early. This seemed to catch Mike out and he tapped the rear of Syd's car sending him off track. Unfortunately Mike didn't wait for Syd to re-join as he was unaware of the incident at the time.
Great care has to be taken when following cars on lap 1, especially following a standing start as there has been no prior opportunity to assess the drivers breaking points.

  • Mike Hammerpenalty — Rear Contact — 2 places lost

Server replay time: 67s

Jebstone Boppman made a very late passing move on the first lap into turn 2.
Psuedo was on the racing line and fully commited to the turn when Mr BMW made an attempt up the inside from a long way back causing contact with psuedo. Also by carrying too much speed into the corner Mr BMW's momentum carried him into the rear of Ossie which caused him to spin out.

Most of the mid-field are travelling slower than normal becuase of an incdident in front. Pseudo is turning into apex when Mr.BMW comes rather late through and can't avoid slight contact with Pseudo. Still carrying more speed than those who sensibly slowed, he tags the rear of Ossie who is carefully treading through incident and spins him off

By showing a lack of care approaching an incident, Mr.BMW managed to gain some places and tag Pseudo and Ossie. He must have been aware of "something" happening up front but chose not to react accordingly.

Server replay time: 2078s

Madd Rip passes Ruskus on the straight before turn 4 and turns into the corner slightly ahead. As there is still a very small overlap of the cars, Ruskus has to take the turn narrower than normal to avoid contact. This takes him over the curbs and consequently bounces him a little wide and contact was made.

I don't see that either driver was at fault here. Madd had enough overlap to call the corner his and Ruskus did what he could to avoid contact but got an unlucky bounce off the curb. Racing incident.

With the benefit of hindsight, I feel that Ruskus could have ceded the corner, and his place, rather than risk riding the curbs and contact with Madd. However, luckily no damage was done and Madd rightfully gained the place so no penalty is necessary.

With regard any 'after race' comments made in public forum, I feel unable to make comment on them directly as I have no 'record' of them. However, I must re-iterate the importance of 'not' discussing incidents in public after a race. Any incidents should be reviewed and submitted via the incident report forms supplied with the results.

The Hungarians are trying to kill me!

I've spent 2 days trying to get a setup that works, and im still yet to be able to keep this BMW straight. I don't even want to think what would have happened if I took the Pantera.

1.51.5 best so far in a 911. Would be nice if I could find a sub 1.50 replay to see how it's done. Nothing on nogrip.

I'll be there in the Pantera, it's twitchy as heck round this place!  51 flat last night but I was 0.7s up in the first sector at one point, getting the car stable for 40 mins will be more of a challenge Shocked

As a trusty mid-field-ometer, I have 1:50.4 best in the 911, consistently in the high 1:51's.  However, consistently is a relative term in this 911 thing.  The rear's a bit unstable if I make a mistake, to say the least.  And overtaking BTCC stylee goes out the window as I spin if I so much as caress another car  Sad

I get the feeling that harder springs might make it more predictable - for an ejit like me - but haven't had time to do that yet.  Spent most of the time understanding how half the steering is done with the wheel, the other half with the right foot  Shocked

Capri is really quick here, got a 50.2 on my second or third lap without doing much to the setup.  Looks like I'll be having a slide-fest in the midfield somewhere Grin

I also got disconnected from the practice server twice, hope that doesn't continue Sad

You need GT Legends... 6 quid from a PC World bargain bin if you're lucky...

Play.com has 1 available. Together with the guys from the office, we've bought something like ten or twelve copies from there during this year.

Yet another waste of time that was. I am just glad it's not real...we would have had no room on track for our cars because of all the ambulances picking up human remains.

Quit out early.

Spun on the last turn of lap 1, and ended up losing my chin spoiler. Rejoined in last, got back up to the last two positions, but kept spinning every lap after, I decided it would be best for me to quit out before I ruin one of the front runner's race. My car became even more unpredictable after my accident.

Can't say I'm a fan of that track, and the BMW was definately the wrong choice for it :/

Almost made it to the end but quit out after crashing for the umpteenth time.  Not sure if it's a good thing, but I found myself laughing out loud at the number of spins & crashes... pure banger racing mayhem  Grin Shocked

Great fun, if a little ridiculous, and that Porsche should come with a health warning, especially when the tyres are worn  Grin Grin Grin Wink

Can't say I enjoyed that .... but I finished.

Started 17th I think, finished 15th.  Wasn't comfortable in the car at any point really, although I took a bunch of time out of my PB.

Well done on 6th was it Bernie?  Pretty good after your start (I'm guessing you got nerfed at T1?)

PS. Please wait till everyone's finished to start chatting ... again.
