Purdie gets little kink before Bus stop chicane a little wrong and is resultantly slower into chicane than normal. However, he seems to brake at his normal point and is stopping much earlier than Backo, (who got entry right) is expecting. A rear ender is the unfortunate result but Backo does the right thing and waits for Purdie so penalty reduced.

  • BACKOpenalty — Rear Contact — 1 place lost (plus 2 for penalty points)
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 422s

Immediately after incident with Backo, into La Source, Purdie appears to brake far to late and runs into the unfortunate Darren, spinning him off. This is certainly not the norm and Purdie explains that this was caused by him searching for his lights to thank Backo. Credit to Purdie for coming clean immediately and Darren for accepting his apology.

  • purdie ([R24-7]purdie)penalty — Rear Contact — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Pseudo gets a better run out of Rouge than Jan and gets alongside up the following Kemmel straight. For some reason, Jan moves across to the right and appears to put the squeeze on Pseudo. However, looking at the replay Jan makes this little move to the right on virtually all of his entry's into Les Combes. Obviously this suprises Pseudo, who had not been following Jan for long and his car is unsettled into Les Combes. I have no doubt that Pseudo would have passed cleanly without that rather odd, but consistent, kink to the right by Jan.

This racing incident could have been avoided if Jan had seen Pseudo so please be more aware in future Jan, a quick look in mirrors was certainly possible there.

Moderator's Report

Already a good battle this, and Madd just runs wide coming into Rivage and makes slight contact with Ruskus. Ruskus was on the outside and, I guess, not looking to overtake but rather heap the pressure on the obstinate Madd. So with no malice involved and no damage done, its a racing incident.

Racing incident.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 998s

Two laps later and they are still both at it. Ruskus gets out of La Source hairpin quicker than Madd and takes the oppurtunity to get alongside into the entry to Rouge. Ruskus is on the left and correctly slows more than usual to allow Madd to keep inside, maybe with an eye to gaining an advantage along Kemmel, unfortunately Madd chooses to cut out wide left for a better entry into second part of Rouge. There is the faintest of touches which unfortunately has dire consequences for Madd and Backo.

The contact could have been avoided had Madd not moved left. Resultantly, he may not have had the best exit from Rouge and would have probably lost his place but that was really due to Ruskus's better exit from the hairpin. It has to be a racing incident, just a shame that Madd was so badly penalised as a result.

More good/bad news  Wink, here is provisional scedule for rest of season

22/10-Aussie V8 mod-Phillip Island from here http://www.finish-line.net/gtr2-aussie-v8-supercars-mod-and-tracks/
29/10-Viper-Hockenheim
5/11 Elise-Laguna Seca
12/11-811-Sugo
19/11-BMW-Brands Hatch (lasercutters version)
26/11-811-Zhuhai
3/12-Viper-Brno
10/12-Season Finale-another mod-Silverstone

If you are doing a race at Sugo please at least try the MX-5cup cars, they are perfect for that track and the physics seem fine to me. They have the mod at No-Grip.

I've seen adverts for Australian V8-powered pick-up truck racing, I think it was on Motors TV, not sure though.

Which file? "MMM V8 Supercars GTR2 V1.0.rar" or "MMMV8_Supercars_v1.0.exe" ?  yawn

They are the same, one is just the compressed files the other with an installer. Use whichever you feel more comfortable with.

Can I suggest Adelaide or Canberra as trackchoice, both great streetracing tracks. Something different from "normal" GTR2 like tracks Smiley

Not too sure that Monaco is in Australia though.... Grin and being aussie V8's I reckon sticking to aussie tracks would be more fun.

I've had some great races at Phillips Island, its wideish has some nice overtaking points, so thats where we are going this time Smiley. JR, I will try those tracks as I've only done the tracks I've always wanted in mod (Bathhurst is great but I think it might be a blood bath) and who knows, we may have time to try them later. Anyways, a bit of sea does mean this track is different to normal ones Wink

It also seems the Mclaren mod works as well Smiley. So, barring disaster, that will provide season finale.

How about at the Nordschleife?

LOL PR there is no way we are gonna race Monaco (it would be bedlam Smiley) or Nordscheleife ( I for one can't remember, or spell, all of it). See my earlier post for our schedule which won't change without a good reason.

True Phillip Island does show good potential  for a good race, as you say, it's wide and flowing. I just love streettracks (except that awefull Monaco, dunno what people see in that), and Adelaide is awesome, with high curbs which you can really ram over in those V8's

I've always liked Adelaide, used to love it back when I played MF1GP.

Gonna miss this one, safe driving all Smiley

I only suggested the Nordschleife because I have never seen it being used online before. I didn't expect anyone to actually use it anyway.

P.S. Good call with Phillip Island ginsters, saw it on the motogp yesterday, brilliant track. Shame I won't be able to race it.
