Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 1204s

Davor Mirkovic is trying to pass Adam Parle on the inside through the last corner but gets very wide causing contact between both cars, forcing Adam off track. Adam manages to keep control over the vehicle and gets back passed Davor.

No driver looses anything in particular and the passing driver is still behind. Also prior to this incident Adam did almost the same to another driver, so Davor gets off by a warning.

Server replay time: 1253s

Davor Mirkovic is behind Adam Parle as they are closing on the chicane. Because Adam is in the Corvette, he has to brake a bit earlyer than Davor, causing Davor to rear-end Adam.

Davor should've been prepared for this as he's been behind Adam for at least a couple of turns, and should know that Adam needs to take it easy through turns. But because of the severity of an impact this is for Adam, Davor gets 2 places lost as penalty.

Server replay time: 1538s

Jebstone Boppman is catched by the leaders, Jeffrey Ruskus and Madd-RIP, when he's entering the last turn a bit hot, which makes him go slightly off track. Then Jeffrey takes advantage of this and is getting along side with Jebstone as Jebstone is trying to rejoin the track. This makes Jeffrey loose it a bit, letting Madd passed.

Once off track you should not rejoin until it's safe to do so without obstructing other vehicles. Because Madd-RIP was so kind to let Jeffrey go by, no places were lost, and Jebstone did probably not see Jeffrey in his mirrors, and did maybe think it was safe to rejoin, his penalty is reduced to 1 place lost.

Interestingly I couldn't get into the GTR2 lobby either so it wasn't just GTL it was all obloxed. I will try again tonight to see whether the problem has been fixed. Undecided

Please can I re-iterate DO NOT SWAP CARS AFTER QUALIFYING HAS STARTED. The system does not cope with drivers being in one car for qualifying and another for the race.

PLEASE CAN [Poodle]Andy OWN UP TO WHICH FORUM ACCOUNT YOU ARE UNDER BECAUSE YOU HAVE BEEN IMPORTED AS GUEST BECAUSE I CAN'T FIND AN ACCOUNT FOR YOU.

P.S. If you want your country flag displayed correctly (I notice there's a lot of white (not set) flags on the results), then you can update that yourself by going to your forum profile, then clicking on the Driver Details link on the left.

Sorry about that. I hope it didn't cause to much problems, and I'll do my best to avoid this in the future. But if I hadn't done this I wouldn't have been able to finish the race, as I just realised I sucked in the other cars. And the fact that getting in to the server took so much time, I missed alot of practise time. I actually wouldn't be surpriced if I didn't get back in either, as I left during qualifying, but I figured I had to give it a try.

Not unless you can persuade ISO to give Cornwall its own 2-letter ISO-3166 code. GB-CON doesn't fit in 2 characters. Tongue

Hi guys

Sounds like it was a fun race. Typically everything seems to be fine this morning and can get into the lobby no problem! See you all next week.

I span about 6 laps in and had to have the suspension changed, otherwise I would have been racing for 2nd-to-last.

Why did you do that ?? We could have had a great battle and that would made both our races more interesting!

Oh well...

If you mean why did I crash...I've been wondering about that as well!  Wink
If you mean why did I have the suspension changed...because the car was steering 45degrees to the left with the steering centred.

Ruskus: which backmarker was it?

I have got to say a great big thanks to Simon for his great car choice for this track, it was an absolute hoot, which makes it all the more frustrating that so many people couldn't connect.  Flippin' typical, and now it seems to work.

It was so much fun racing Bernie's Vette, light the blue touch paper and watch it disappear down the straight, then it only took a couple of corners to catch right back up, it was so wild in the bends.  Grin  With [Poodle] Andy's Elan right behind one of us would get slightly blocked by the Vette and lose momentum and the other would get through.  Very funny.  Finally Bernie's tyres became almost undriveable and I was able to squeeze through and pull away.

A lot of fun.   Cool

Might have been one of the toughest races for me.

Was surprised that the Vette could be quicker in one lap than the Elan, so pole was unexpected.

The Vette has so much power that I couldn't stop the rears from spinning at the start, so I almost lost it to Mike's E-Type. Luckily for me when the tires gripped I was off in 1st in T1.

The first 10 laps or so were pretty relaxed (compared to what was going to follow). Madd was attacking me, especially in the last corner, but I always had the poweradvantage on the straight.
But after 10 laps my tires were shot and it was starting get a fight against the maching. Mike had attacked Madd in the meantime as well, so there was a small gap at the start of my tires' demise  Grin.
When we reached lap 15 I was really struggling and thought to myself: "I can't keep this up for an additional 17 laps." Madd was all over me and so was Mike. A few times they overtook me in the last corner, just for me to blast by on the straight Grin.
10 Laps before the end I was fighting mostly my car. I checked before the corner where Madd was to see if I needed to keep room, but once in the corner and the exit I was focussing completely on handling the car (briefly checking mirrors), as it needed all of my attention Tongue.
Madd did well to not hitting me, as it had to be very difficult maintaining a close gap when the handling differences are so big.
Due to all the hard fighting we lost time and PRibeiro was closing up to us. And not much later Bara also showed up. So at that point we had a 5 car train (1 Vette, 1 E-Type, 3 Elans) heading towards the finish with 5 laps to go on the counter.
Very unlucky Madd downsifted to quick, as he deserved atleast 2nd place, as he was very quick and consistent.

The finish was fun with you PR. I saw it in the replay, that Ossie must have thought: "Ah cheers."

Ruskus: which backmarker was it?

Don't worry, it wasn't you, but I'm not telling in public who it was.

Tongue Ossie has been making our friends in work fully aware of my mistake, and tbh I don't blame him, it was an error which made me stare at the screen in disbelief, still, a thoroughly enjoyable race.....even though I didn't finish.....cock!
