skidded into pitlane to do my 2nd stop and go only to be given a bloody 3rd one as i left the pit box again!...and that was with the limiter on  Shocked

I realized that if you change gear, the speed will increase even with the limiter on. So when I changed between 2nd and 3rd up and down, I got it up to at least 80 with limter on.

I was struggling in Quali as I realized my throttle and brakes weren't able to reach full. I had to fool around with the sensitivity and finally settled on 98% so my brakes could get full throttle.

The Accellerator was very very touchy, causing me to spend 15 minutes of quali getting used to it.
Luckily I fired out a 1:19 on the last lap bringing me from 21st to 10th.

Race started al ittle hectic as I saw someone swirve into someone else right before T1. I hugged the inside praying not to spin on the white tarmac and came out in 7th or 8th. Held my own pretty good only losing one place by the finish line, however I put a wee bit to much pressure onto the gas comming out of T1 causing me to spin into pit exit lane.

Dropped back to 21st, and had to start the climb. Made my way into 15th following Tinman for a while, got passed him, but then lost it comming into the second last lap.

Fought back to get up to him again and lost it one more time, causing my chin spoiler to be ripped from the frame. I went a few laps seeing how the car was, and decided after 2 to bite my tounge and pit in. Dropped back to 22nd, and left with a stop go. Came back in, left with another stop go, comming around to pit in for my second stop go, I slid and hit the same barrier that tore my front spoiler off. This time I destroyed my front right tyre, causing me to drag myself to pits, and because I came in on a stop go I couldn't repair, so I just retired the race, and watched Will and Oily battle it out.

I really liked that track, and I was having the pace to keep on top during the past two weeks, it's a shame I smashed out, unable to get points for the first time this season Sad

My best race even with this sim. Not the 12th, but my speed and consistency. Only spun one time, in that 1st turn where the Capri seem to be a bit loose on exit. Stupid mistake, as I had full control over the car all the other times in this turn.

Even managed to fight with some decent drivers, and was only lapped by three cars, the first two when I tried to get back out after my spin.

I think I could take advantage of my NASCAR history from this track today.

I was doing alright for a while, then I had a series of stupid accidents (I missed the braking zones and when straight across the grass).
The steering was damaged from hitting Ossie at the start of the race (Sorry Ossie!), so I pitted to have it fixed. On the way out I was given a stop/go for speeding in the pit, which I expected since I went in way too fast.

Then on the lap afterwards I got another stop/go for cutting the track, when I'd lost control of the car.

At least I finished!

Not a great race for me position wise, but had some great driving along the way.
I think on T1 of lap 1 or 2, someone swerved right across me in a 906 and i had no time to brake, and t-boned the 906, which slowed me down, but luckily not much damage.
The setup i had was not quite right, so i lost it on a couple of corners after gearing down too early corner entry later in the race.
But, had a good battle with Oily - swapping positions along the way, untill i lost it a few laps from the end.
Anyway, a good race and enjoyable, i like this track - good driving from all  Afro

That was a good race for me. Managed to qualifying 11th whilst still learning the extremes of the track and car combo and with some last second tweaks to the setup my final race setup was even better than qually, being both reasonably stable and still quite quick. Was a second faster in race to qually and had some good battles with some Capris (Madd-RIP, Priberio, Dan Minton) and then a good battle with Jeff's evil Vette. Eventually I got the better of the old fox and cruised off for 4th position as a couple of others ahead had some accidents.

Were definately some scarey moments, like going side by side with Jeff's Vette through the up-hill esses and arriving at a reversing/rolling backwards 906 recovering from a spin, but I fortunately managed to escape all moments unscathed.

It's a good track/car combo, although I was a little worried about people driving sensibly given the high speeds involved and the different braking it seemed to go well from where I was anyway especially with the great turnout.

Well done to Mr 906, Baracus, on the win in that little old Porsche. You must have been doing something special to beat the fast cars here.

Another cracking race, with most going on behind me Grin.

I had a good start and went from 9th to 5th or something. I had the Pantera of Steve infront and Madd behind me in his Capri. I couldn't catch the Pantera and could just keep the gap between me and Madd.
When Dan overtook Madd he was right behind me immediatly. That was after a few laps, so I already had worn tyres I think Tongue. He did a nice move on the (stop flirting  Grin) on the mian straight and took my place.
Wasn't long before Simon was attacking me with his Pantera. I could just use that extra bit of topspeed to give me a breather. In the second to last corner there was a spun Pantera and I could JUST steer on his inside, while Simon had to go around the outside. Very tricky situation but it gave me some breathigspace.
Lap later a Pantera spun and I thought I could overtake him on the left, but he steered that way, so I went right but he then went that way and luckily for me there was enough room but it was close again.
Two laps later Simon attacked me through the Esses, with him being on the outside (right). We were really side by side when there was a 906 backing up in the Esses after his spin  Shocked. We could just avoid it there, especially Simon who needed new pants after that.
Later he tried the same thing in the Esses, but this time he held it and outbraked me in the chicane. Very good move, brave  Grin.

I didn't get much rest after that, as Madd was right behind me again, pushing me to the limit. But he went off very quick, looked like full speed so I have no idea what happened, all I knew is that it looked scary in me mirrors.

Then I saw an eppic battle behind me between Steve and Marc. A 911 and a Pantera fighting eachtother lap after lap. The were probably much quicker than me, so I had to give it all and keep aiming for the straights to get my advantage.
Big thumbs up to those guys as the drove extremely fair and there was absolutely no contact eventhough I was crawling through the corners. Well done guys  thumbup2.
That battle lasted for maybe 10 laps and I didn't expect to keep them behind. So I was very pleased with finishing 5th.

Grats Bara and again very well driven everyone

Got a light tap on the right rear under braking for T1, which sent me on a wider line through the corner and into contact with Ginster's Corvette.  Lost control of the car at this and careened off track into barrier.

Tough break Erling, I was looking forward to racing you. Maybe next time. Gotta say my strategy of crawling around outside of T1 to avoid trouble was always going to leave me exposed to anybody pushed wide. Won't be doing that again Smiley. Then again would a slow moving Corvette get clattered into T1?

After that I was down in 20th but great fun coming back, a bit, through field. Stand out battles with Morten and Andy Poodle (really unlucky that you couldn't see anything so close to me, no chance to avoid the spinner :'() All done with TinMan lurking in the background for first 20 laps. Then he mounted his challenge. Twas great fun holding you off for a bit but you sized me up and took me very smoothly, congrats. Thx to those I met along the way for restoring my faith in GTL, until the next race at least Wink

Thanks to JR for the rather specialised setup. Never seen anything like that before but wouldn't have been anywhere without it. Ta. Can't wait for the next opportunity to crash a yank tank Smiley

Sorry but I gotta have a moan. Less chat in quali next time please Wink

Had great fun battling back through with some great racing with with Jeff, Simon Holmes ,shark and Madd  Smiley...By that time Bara and Keith were long gone.

Martin i'm with you mate, that Capri was laggy as hell, it came from nowhere on the straight befoe the chicane and put me on my flippin roof. Not impressed! I make enough mistakes of my own without that kind of madness and that's second time around. Can I submit an incident report against dodgy broadband providers!?  Angry

Had a great time battling with Will, just bringing it home and chatting with the Prodigy guys on Teamspeak, Tony and Jebb put in blinders for qually so a shame we didn't grab some more points...next time!

Grats podium, and Mr. Minton please share your Capri secrets lol, you were flying.

Roll on Misano...  Grin

Really glad you enjoyed it Grin. Wish more people would try the yanktanks Grin. Setup was very extreme and probably way over the top than most people would try, but it is the way for me to make the Vette driveable and somwhat competitive.

Think the track suited me... not usually as quick in these understeerry cars on the more twisty tracks, saying that been going a lot better since turning off auto clutch and blipping on down changes maybe try that. Wink

The steering was damaged from hitting Ossie at the start of the race (Sorry Ossie!)

Not to worry Tib, as much my fault because the back end of my car decided to take over my front end at the start for some reason.  Thanks for waiting by the way but my car stalled and would not restart for a while and when it did the back end was all over the place and not to ruin others races I decided to quit.  Better luck next time.

Grats to all that finished especially the super quick and the podium finishers.  See you all again soon.
