Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 53s

In the first lap at Paddock Hill, Ossie bumps against the rear of Steve, who then barely holds on to keep it on the road. Because of this Steve loses two places as it was early in the race. The gap before Paddock Hill was there, so there was no need for such close action.

  • ossie (0ssie)penalty — Rear end shunt — 2 places lost (plus 1 for penalty points)

Server replay time: 298s

There is a very close group of 4 cars, one including PRibeiro. He is followed by Ossie and Simon. Ossie rear ends PRibeiro who then goes a bit wide at Druids. Because of the contact between Ossie and PRibeiro, Ossie loses a lot of momentum and that's why Simon hits Ossie at the rear, sending him into a spin.
Ossie was punished because Simon spun him around, however, it looked like that was avoidable for Simon. He keeps steering towards the corner, instead of around Ossie. I think this seems like dangerous handling around an incident. But because this happened so suddenly before Simon, I can't see him prevent such a thing.

  • ossie (0ssie)penalty — Rear end shunt — 1 place lost (plus 1 for penalty points)

Server replay time: 535s

Ossie just touches the right rear of SBG. Both don't suffer any inconvinience and can continue in the same places they were.
Although nothing happened here, the previous two incidents with Ossie did cause problems, so Ossie should really be carefull in this kind of situations.

  • ossie (0ssie)caution — Rear end touch
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 691s

Ossie and Madd-Rip follow Tinman and head towards Paddock Hill. Madd is on the outside and Ossie on the inside when Ossie doesn't give Madd room which causes Madd to go off. There was much more room for Ossie to give by going more to the inside, than that there was room for Madd to keep a bit wide. Therefore this was avoidable for Ossie

  • ossie (0ssie)penalty — Ossie — 2 places lost (plus 1 for penalty points)
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 706s

Ossie follows Tinman into Druids. For the 2nd lap in a row there is a frozen car there. Ossie brakes too late again (heard by the hard revving under downshifts) and collects Tinman who spins and loses quite a few places. Ossie then waits for Tinman to continue and with that loses more places that Tinman.

  • ossie (0ssie)penalty — Rear end shunt — 2 places lost (plus 1 for penalty points)
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 1124s

Simon is caught out by the slightly early braking of PRibeiro. He then takes avoiding action and can steer around PRibeiro. Unfortunatly, he collects Steve who almost spins because of that. Simon waits to let both drivers by again and all three continue the way were.

  • Simon Gymerpenalty — Rear end shunt — 1 place lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 1205s

PRibeiro is being followed by Simon. The Alpine of Simon can brake much later than the Healey of PR. Simon misjudges PR's brakepoint and rear ends PR who then spins and loses a few places.

  • Simon Gymerpenalty — Rear end shunt — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 1353s

Simon spins as he clips the grass. He ends up in the middle of the road with SBG and Tinman incoming. Both cars can't avoid Simon and collect him. Simon spun on his own and there was nothing he could have done to prevent this. The following cars were unlucky and didn't have a lot of space to go to. However, I didn't hear any car lift off or go easy and approach the situation with care until the very last moment.

Please approach accidents with care to avoid making them worse.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 2210s

Appeal

Appeal rejected, penalty stays the same:

Madd gets a better exit out of Graham Hill bend and can get his front wheel on the inside of Syd. Syd then steers in much earlier than normal, and actually has to straighten the wheel and steer in again. This looks like a blocking manouvre. On the other side, Madd didn't have his car enough on the inside to claim the line and should have lifted off and join behind Syd.
Both drivers did something wrong here. Syd blocked and Madd didn't have the line to claim the place. Corner later Madd got the position of Syd.
Therefore Syd doesn't get the maximum of 3 places lost, but 1 place lost.

  • Syd Drakepenalty — Blocking — 1 place lost (plus 1 for penalty points)

No setups for ferrari in the online folder. I just copied the setup from Buenos Aires. It'll have to do. I just changed gears a bit.

As usual, the Healey is great fun around here Grin. Hope that its evenly matched with the Alpine as that would make for an ace fight.

Had to quit in the end it was so unsafe driving the Alpine with other cars on the track and I'd already been off a few times and nudged a few people and caused a big pile-up when I spun and SBG drove into my wrong way pointing car, very sorry to all.

It really was impossible to drive close when the cars in front kept changing speed through the corners (which they did all the time). There was I sat behind and nothing I can do but let off throttle or brake or hit guy in front. Letting off throttle was like igniting rocket jets out the side of the back end it was unbelievable how the arse would release it self in the worlds most awful lift off oversteer.

I've done a lot of racing, but I could not find anyway to drive that car safely with other cars around. It was ok on it's own because you didn't have to change corner speed through the corners, but with all the other cars changing their speed so much with power exit oversteer I couldn't drive behind anyone and in the end I got so frustrated with not being able to drive with anyone else that I quit after I had to lift off to avoid a car again followed by the predictable spin.

I think a bad choice on my part to include the Alpine with these other cars as it was totally unsafe due to it's completely different characteristics. It's unclear what the Alpine can race with safely tbh, other than itself.

Had good feelings going into the race as the Alpine is great to handle through traffic.

Messed myself up after spinning on lap 3 or 4. Rejoined and faught an uphill battle

Kept catching up to ADE for 16th through to 14th, but every time I was catching up I would have to adjust for front runners (some of who were a little impatient through the bendy parts - sorry for holding you up) or I would make some stupid mistake. Do have to agree with Shark, was very intimidating to be in the Alpine, as a slight nudge usually launched me off track, while the Ferrari or Healy just shrugged it off and kept on going.

Had fun overall, the track was quick, and fairly easy to negotiate. Was fairly consistent mid race, but after I mucked up a couple of times I started losing concentration and didn't really help my situation.

Driving with one headlight was fairly tough too.
Good race to Oily for getting us some points!

Not too exciting race for me. Could just hold on to Bara at the beginning but when lapping started I lost him Smiley.

At one point I lapped Madd, just to see MJ infront and I totally lost track of where I was so I went onto the grass Grin.
Later there was a huge pileup. I saw lights spinning (lighthouses), dust everywhere, smoke, the whole shebang Tongue. Was hard to get by in one piece and I was almost stationary Cheesy.

No comment from me until I see the replay, but pretty frustrating being much quicker than all the cars around me (darn disco in qually lost me loads of places), constantly overtaking and then through other people's driving losing the places (and my lights) back.  Impossible to see the track at the end with no lights, I almost had my face up against the screen to see.

Gawd that was a spectacular pile up Simon. No worries and I just didn't have enough room to get bye.

Get the badness outta the way. Poor old Madd was stuck on grid, I couldn't avoid him (didn't even see him) and that was me too back of grid with a crooked car again. I appreciate that was prolly an honest mistake but we can't afford to have them on start. Especially as it always seems to be me that clatters into the dozers Wink.

Also rear ended by someone who didn't hesitate to pass me and then did the same move to Tinman in front Roll Eyes. I encourage everyone to report everything please, I will be.

Way, way outweighed by goodness Grin. Billiant battles with MJ and Tinman for 1st and 2nd part of race respectively. Its good to see drivers give each other room and do all they can to avoid contact, that was especially true of MJ. Luckily saw him off, I think via Sharks pile up. Then on the receiving end of a fantastic sizing up job by Tinman and he waited until last lap lap to make his move. And bugger me, it was a good one. Congrats Smiley

Good stuff all and the back markers were very helpful as well. I wasn't being rude flashing my lights but my "blue flags" weren't working and I presumed that was same for everyone?
