Oh and Tibs's braking wasn't quite that good
I blame cold tyres. Really it serves me right for not keeping a 2 second distance.
I noticed you had a very efficient get away off the line Tibs, do you use manual clutch? I saw you bombing down the middle of a pack of 5 or so of us and remember thinking 'hope his brakings good'
I use Auto Clutch. My starts are very hit and miss, I either have a great start, or I miss the lights.
That's why I like the fact they use Standing starts for GTL. It's another skill for the driver to learn.
I managed to end up in first by the first corner in the RFC VORRA Buggies championship races, despite qualifying in last. I then managed to end up in last again by the end of the lap.
Another aside....how flipping cool did that South African dusk sky look as you headed up the hill towards the pit straight?
and then downhill towards T1 & 2 the clouds looked ominous.
I am so glad we started using add-on tracks and variable lighting. Superb
I agree.
It looks much better, especially now I've managed to tweak GTL so I can get an extra 5-10 FPS even using DX8 instead of DX7.
Basically I set the GTL.exe process in Task Manager to use both the main core and HT, and set it to high priority.
That and I moved the folders off my desktop and put them in my documents. I had all the GTL GTR2 and rFactor files on my desktop, so I had 20+ GB of files there.
The PC's now running a bit faster.
