Hi Geoffers, be good to see you in the mix tonight - hope you've been on the practice server to test your install, sometimes people do have problems to start with. I stand corrected, I was away for the Zandy race so didn't pay much attention to the precise track. Just saw lots of familiar names on GTLRank!

now Baracus is MIA tonight, all we need to do is let down Jeffs tyres and some of us other mortals can have a crack at a podium only 34's for me in the Cobra so far, which shall be my chariot tonight for the first time ever ! Still getting used to the beast, gawd knows what i'll be like once the tyres wear down to the rims

Just thought I'd let you know there'll be one less roadblock in this race. I'm MIA for this I'm afraid.

Well that has a mixed bag of feelings . Got on pole with a PB. After that I went downstairs and came back and alt-tabbed to shut down team speak. But then the whole PC crasht . The irony . Didn't have time to do a qually lap, so I had to start alllllll the way at the back. Start was very dangerous because that big musclecar is quite a thing between those Elans. Gained a few places cleanly and the rest of the places I gained on the straight, as there is hardly another place to overtake . Was pushing hard, a bit too hard, as I made 2 mistake both at the same corner (one that leads to s/f straight). That lost me maybe 10s, which came bame to haunt me, as SBG was too far now. Grats SBG, good stable drive

This was my most competitive race in UKGTL so far, even though in the end I only managed to equal my best ever finish of 5th. I started 3rd, my by far best ever starting position. Got a good start, and was second into t1. Then I was shadowing Steve for a couple of laps, I would overtake him on the straight, but he would get back in front under braking for T1. Third time asking I managed to make it stick, and stayed ahead after t1. Unfortunately, we made contact at the hairpin, I went off, and rejoined in 4th. I managed to track down and then pass two Elans to get back to second. But to do this I had to push more than I wanted to, and spent my tires. So late in the race, I made 2 mistakes and went down to 5th where I finished. I must have been driving on rims at the end, that's how bad the car felt. I was about 1.5-2 seconds off my own pace in the last 5 laps.

I think that was the most enjoyable race of the seasn so far - some great driving, with a decent car selection and a good track. I remember Zandvoort from last season, never raced it before then, but liked it since. Race was excellent - qualified 11th, and had some great battle's on the way around - chasing Keiths black Cobra for a few laps, the Elan faster in the bends, but seeing that Cobra pull away on the straits. That came to an end when we were coming up to turn 1, and i think i was a bit too close to Keith when he braked, and i couldn't avoid hitting the back end, only a little, but causing a spin - sorry for this Keith, was getting a bit carried away After that i was mainly chasing Ade, but his was a bit too quick for me, and i made a few mistakes - more so on the last lap, when i spun, and went wide, letting two Elan's past But excellent driving and a good event - thanks for organising guys - more of the same to come i hope

Very good driving SBGinsters, congratulations for your win. Amazing scrapp with TinMan and Steve Holmes, was fun guys. Sorry to Martin very close driving and i´d hit throttle earlier than you, thats why i touch your rear, very sorry. One word for the great recovering driving from Jeff.
Cheers
