Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 51s

Baracus brakes far later than those around him into T1 and, despite his best efforts to avoid contact, hits the back of Ruskus very hard. It was only through a mixture of luck and Ruskus's driving skills that a very serious incident was avoided. Credit goes to Baracus for admitting his mistake and apologising accordingly.

Server replay time: 53s

Steve Holmes gets a very good start, overtakes a few but brakes much later than those around him, and probably too late, into first turn. Unfortunately, he clatters into Dan Minton, effectively ending his race and causes chaos for those behind. Much to his credit, Steve has owned up to his mistake and apologises for it.

Both these first turn incidents share the same underlying problem which needs to be addressed. Both Steve and Baracus appear to be trying to gain places whilst those around them are proceeding with great caution, hence even two of our best and fairest drivers were caught out by the careful and slightly early braking into first turn. We want to continue to see the same common sense and cautious approach to the first corner and, now this issue has been raised, we do not want to see the same mistakes that featured here again. Yes, race and take places into first turn but equally, be very wary.

  • Steve Holmespenalty — Penalty - Rear end shunt — 2 places lost

Server replay time: 1123s

Ade spins whilst trying to hold off PR into first tight chicane. To be fair he ends up in an awfull spot right on the racing line and you can almost sense him mulling over his options. Unfortunately, he gets it a little wrong and reverses into Tin Man whilst being unsighted. Considering no damage was done, the tight spot Ade was in and how TinMan is willing to let it pass then no penalty is necessary.

Racing incident.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 2000s

After the unfortunate first turn incident Dan expresses his displeasure via the in-game chat. Whatever the provacation, there can be no excuse for this behaviour. Considering the language used, perhaps this may have been passed over without the similar later incident and Dan has publicly apologised for his mistake so this will only result in a warning.

Warning-abusive language.

Server replay time: 2000s

After another incident, in which no blame has been apportioned, Assassino expresses his displeasure via the in-game chat. But he uses much more colourful language and is far more personnal in his abuse than the earlier incident. Again, there is no provocation that can justify this reaction. As this is a more serious offence than earlier incident, reluctantly we have no choice but to exclude Assassino from this event.

These two incidents have shocked and suprised us all and will not be tolerated again. This time, we have been inclined to be somewhat lenient in our punishments but if anyone errs in this manner again the penalty will be far more draconian. No one wants to see it and we will not accept it again.

Looking forward to this one. I will take the Alpine as it is probably the best handling car of the three, so, hopefully, it will be a bit easier to get around without hitting too much. As Ginsters said though, a fair amount of luck will be required as well as a less balls out approach.

Cya all later

Not really complaining of the track choice - as it's very fun to drive.

More worried about the fact that I'm far from a professional video game race car driver, and I have a bad feeling that my hours of practice/tweaking the setup will be wasted due to the fact that this track literally will not allow a single error Sad

You have my sympathy Mr BMW, personally I've never made a 'single error' in a race "ITS USUALLY 20 or 30"  cursing

Geoffers - totally agree about the Alpines handling but you forgot to mention it's also the best looking  laugh laugh

all 3 cars are about as tasty as it gets for classic sportscars  wub

I'm going with the 250GTO as its just such a classic race car and i want to show support to us finally using some add-on cars. But i love the Healey and the Alpine for sheer coolness too. The only thing letting the Alpine down in game is the whiney shite sound effects...i want to hear the throaty carbs !!

I had this problem last week. You need a file that you place in the main GTL folder (sorry name escapes me and I cannot access nogrip to find it at present, can someone help with this?) Anyway this file will provide a newly created profile with all cars and shed loads of credits. So load up GTL and create a new profile. Call it Loadsamoney or something. Then leave GTL. In the folder that has your details in a file, rename your old profile file extension  to something slightly different then rename the new profile to your old name. Again load up GTL and your old profile will now have all of Loadsamoney's cars and credits but all the other settings will be stuffed. Now leave GTL and reverse the file naming that you did earlier on. Now if you go back to GTL your old profile will still have the old settings as was but also all of the cars and credits. Neat huh?

Here is my Healey setup:

For the money cheat.

Create a txt file and name it: TG2001.DYN . So it's not a txt file after you're done Tongue. No need for a new profile Smiley

No need for a new profile if you have NEVER used this file before agreed, BUT if you've exhausted it's initial benefits already and you need more cars/credits then you do need a new profile.

Simon stated this before last street circuit race and it bears repeating

Because this is a street circuit, you will be expected to drive with extra caution. An accident here can take out a lot more people than at a road course, so drive within your capabilities. This is a 17 lap, ~40 minute race so take your time overtaking, there are plenty of laps to do it in.

Quite a good percentage returned home safely from that race at Monaco, although the race had plenty of incidents. Lets hope for more of the former and less of the latter this time  Smiley

I thought I was going ok but thats a killer time JR Kiss . Haven't been this excited/nervous/terrified about a race for a long time  Cheesy Takes me back to Enna in the GTR1 days.

Yeah, that was a decidedly fast time, I'm probably similar to sbg's speed in my 250.  And I feel exactly the same way, qualifying will be excellent, and the race, well that's just one big unknown, the anticipation is building.  Can't wait to get on the practice server tonight to finish learning the track.  Grin

I believe that if you open the "Car file" of the car you want to buy you can edit the price of the vehicle - its the value line about 2 from the end.
