Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 316s

JPS starts wide and cuts across, and slams, both Sandow and Will into Stowe. They had effectively passed him and are in front by this point. JPS explains that he didn't see them due to technical problems and this is exactly how it looks, so we have no reason to doubt him.

We would expect drivers to end their race if they have any inkling of technical issues that could affect others. However, this was JPS's first GTL race and he was simply not aware that this was the case. Therefore no penalty is warranted.

  • JPS (JPS1)advice — Leave the race if you realise you are experiencing technical problems.

I loved the track Grin. Finally a track at which the Vette can stretch it's legs. It's wide, flowing and a fast track. Much better than some Mickey Mouse tracks Cheesy.

This track is superb, it was the track that got me to jump onto GTL.

Any of you computer wizards able to work out why I kept loading all the drivers in every screen, I take it the invisable car has happened to others, and is not new, SORRY if I spoiled anyones race but it's hard to watch out for someone you can't see!

I am with Virgin Media 4meg speed if that helps.

Thanks in advance.

I already told you on page 3. If you're repeatedly loading drivers when not on the track, then most likely you don't have the skins installed.

As for the track and how good it was: Not a track type I enjoy greatly, but I can sure understand why it's great for the high HP cars. Watching ASSASSINO slide around in front of me confirmed that notion. So while I didn't like the track very much, variety is good, and so having this track in a series is also good.

But having more Spa/Suzuka type tracks for TC76 would be even better  Wink

Of course, my opinion shouldn't carry much weight here, I've done so few races in GTL lately, and won't make more then every other thursday for a while either, at best.

Didn't realise you had already 'told me' must have missed that submission.
For your info I already have Skins pack installed, so it wasn't that. Any other ideas?

Are you sure it is the latest one? Have you tried downloading it again just in case you have an older pack installed?

Thanks for the reply Paul 968, I am sure it is the most recent one 1.6, but will load it again just in case. Thanks

If there is a "tone" to my reply it's because you ignored it the first time.

In 2 years with GTL I've never seen the symptoms you describe be caused by anything else.

What made you think I 'Ignored' your reply, I  'missed it' unintentionally, regardless of my reply later that clearly pointed this out.

Because back in the day I used to sport an avatar of some cartoon kid, who pressed a button to make his head explode, sort of. Couldn't find it now  Sad

I.e. because I still get touchy about little things for no real reason sometimes, "blowing" them out of proportion.

Mike,.. no worries, thanks for trying to help.

Ginsters,.... I have totally uninstalled and reinstalled GTL, with the latest packs from Sim racing, this should do the trick. If I encounter the same issues next time I join the server, I simply won't race, the last thing I want to do is ruin anyone elses race due to a bug my end.
Thanks again to everyone that tried to help.

One thing you could check is to load the replay and see if all the cars are visible?

Is GTL the same as GTR and rFactor in that there's a slider to set the maximum number of cars visible? That might be the problem. Undecided

Nothing wrong Ade...don't worry....it was regarding any problems caused by poor connections and disco's.
