Can't see myself beating the laprecords. Maybe equal them, but I won't go quicker. So I'm afraid it's looking grim for the Yanktanks, and it will be a walkover for the Europeans this time  :'(
Never say never, I've just done 1:04.1 with 60 litres of fuel in a yanktank Cheesy

Cheers dude, shame I can't drive as well as that guy does! Can't get the thing past a very ragged 1:05 at the mo, gonna be a whitewash at this rate and that's before you mention the tyres.  In need of some serious setup work!

You were our last hope JR Smiley It not been the best two weeks to pick the more slippery/slidey options competition wise. The Falcon is ace so I really don't care and our time will come   Kiss

im struggling with 1:06's in the mustang  Sad  Is it slow here or is it just me being pants? as sure i would be way quicker in an euro car, but the soundpacked Stang is pure audio nirvana  Cool

Anything special, setup wise needed here? I've just softened it all round and increased the power diff for traction over the hump back corner.
Its sector 1 that is paining me, trying to get the fat lump turned in around those ever tightening apex's

I'll be driving the Mini (there's a surprise Roll Eyes). It's fairly slow around here but for some reason I'm faster with it. Undecided

The Mustang is pretty awful. It seems to have way too much understeer on most of the corners, then too much oversteer on corner exit.

Mustang is a bit slower than the Falcon. Don't soften it all round, soften the front, but stiffen the rear. Crank up the rear ARB and try diff settings p:40 c:10.
For the first sector, don't use a normal racing line, but use the white areas. They are slightly banked and will improve the corner speed immensely.

I won't go below 1:03, or else I'll dance the hoolahoop for ya on a webcam Grin.
Doesn't matter that the Falcon is crap, like SBG says, it's a joy to drive, and as long as fast drivers don't take the easy option, the field should be nicely balanced out Smiley.

And what exactly is an "easy option"? And why shouldn't fast drivers take it?
I have absolutely no problem with the creme de la creme choosing the very fastest cars if they want to. It's all about the level of enjoyment you want to permit yourselves isn't it?

Alfa or Cortina is easy option. If fast drivers take it, they'll drive off into the distance on their own. I can't imagine that being fun for them, or others.
I won't stop them from taking it ofcourse Grin.
