2:14/2:15 is what I expect to be doing so I expect to qualify somewhere near the back again and finish 5th as everyone else falls off or gets stop go penalties for being cheaters.

Is this the same track as we have used before or is the 2004-06 different? I've not even had the chance to look yet and better at worst be able to turn up at the right track.

its the 2004 config as used before at srouk. We should start using the 2007-8 layout so that we can(not) gain an advantage by taking to the escape lane The new layout has been modded for a while now.

I also did a few laps last night in P2 and did a 2:10 in qually trim, so racetrim is normally about 1 second slower.

I've done thousands of laps here but in race trim I can't be faster than 2:12's so I'll happily finish behind Jeff and Brian after trying to challenge them in quali with my rather quali car lol

It was a year ago since I raced here. My quali was 2.11.0 and my race pace was high 12s in the lambo. Although I'm quicker than I was a year ago I've never had the 575 on the track so can't even guess what my pace will be but not hopefull. I can remember that the only cars I could set up right were the lambo and RSR, everything else I struggled. I will get straight into it once home from work.

I've done thousands of laps here So have I, but I will be tootling around somewhere following Sharkie I would imagine. I know it's a long circuit, but I have no idea where you lads gain 4+ seconds......is there a shortcut I'm missing?

I expect I'll be tooling round the back in my underpowered Lambo... At least I'll look cool.

Im gunna get killed here in the Lambo!
I love this track but just cant get good times here. I tried a very low downforce setup last night which actually felt ok but still was in the high 13's 14's.
Dunno what else i can do.

You could always give the rest of us a chance by not practicing Brian. :'( Even in a different car I'd be very surprised if you were not top 3 in qually and race, especially as you'll be driving a Ferrari you can pretty much be assured of a podium no matter where you finish. I'll be racing under Vista 64 with 8GB RAM tonight for the first time, so I hope the extra power and stability of Vista will rub off on my driving too. P.S. Spa is high downforce high speed, I'll be running somewhere between 7 and 10 rear wing depending on what the dice land on.

Is there enough moderators that way inclined to exclude Jeff, Busi and Freq to promote my ferrari? Believe me I need the practice. It's still a new car to me and in general I'm quicker in the Lambo. Also jumping back and forward between iracing and Gtr2 takes a bit of time to adapt as no doubt you have noticed too.

Usually takes me the qually session (15-20 minutes) to get back into it and then I remember how to drive GTR2 in the race session. This coincides with my natural tendancy to race better than I qualify so probably doesn't really make any difference in the end for me. Racing in the pack in UKGTR is great fun anyway so I don't really care where I am as long as I have people to have a competition with. No doubt the mysterious Shark gravitational device sitting in Truetom's boot will make our cars race each other at some point, so I look forward to that as usual.
