I must point out to the Prodigy server admin that it would be useful if it actually said something like "TP" at some point in the server name...I can never find the bloody thing. The admin must point out you'll get what you're given. I'll try and include TP in future...not much room in the ol' description field though unfortunately

Only non passwd Phil's Island server last night I could find was only allowing Alfa
Car choice is harder here than normal, usually I run what I think I can finish with. Here I can't get the Elan below 52.5, and race laps are 53 with luck, but I can do 51-52 fairly easy in Cobra though it's harder to be consistant. TYres on Elan went off for me at Thruxton, (though hitting a wall might have had an effect..) so I'm tempted to see how the Cobra fairs, I can always change all 48 wheels again.

I feel no shame just call me Penelope, which one are you? Peter Perfect in the Turbo Terrific or maybe Rufus Ruffcut in his Buzz Wagon 1.52 and a bit in the Compact Pussycat . Me neither, just a shame there isn't a pink Elan . Can just get into the 51s with the Penelopemobile, so not quite as quick as the V8s but hopefully the tyres will last longer.

Finally got my head around the setting up of the Cobra, a beast, worse than the Pants-terror for trying to throw you off the track, so I'll be driving it tonight, The Elan is very good here too tbh, and should benefit from neat driving more than usual, as the track seems to be faster that way ( at least for the Elan anyway, Cobra is another matter). Should be a fun race (as long as my pc behaves! )

I regret to announce that I won't be there tonight. I'm recovering from a cold, haven't learned the track, and just can't be bothered.

I was worried about my computer's reliability for this race (I'm finally buying a new one this weekend), and as I predicted, my PC let me down. Shortly before Quali I was getting non stop 1:52s. Come qualy the only good hot lap i could do (got bumped off on one lap, and hit Coop into the first hairpin) was only a 1:53.8 which put me in 20th on the grid. Started good, as I was mainly surrounded by Elans, so I wasn't overly underpowered on the start. Found some leaks in the traffic and boosted up to about 15th area. Luckily my 1:52 pace came right back instantly as by lap 2 I already set my own PB, and was chasing down 10th. Me and PRebiero had a good fight for a few laps, trading places (and a little paint) back and forth untill I was able to nimble my way into 10th place. Was driving fairly consistent chasing down 9th. Kind of hit the pace in that position as I was about 3 seconds ahead/behind everyone around me. Then, I lost it going uphill, and spun. I tried to drive off track (the inside of the corner was the closest for me to get off), but unfortunately the 3 second lead wasn't enough and I got pinged by PRebs then I was vaulted into the path of Ade I hope the damage wasn't to bad for you guys. I suffered some suspension damage after that accident, as well as Aero. My car wasn't turning to the right properly, and I lost alot of top speed. I was back into 11th, fighting to catch 10th. It was at about lap 14, and then my front right tire really started to feel the pressure of the suspension damage. Spun off the road a bunch and lost places. Pitted in on my planned lap of 18. Just refueled and changed tyres (wasn't gonna spend 95 seconds on my suspension). Came back out and quickly grabbed up to 19th spot. Spun again and lost it, and shortly after rejoining my PC started locking up. Large ammounts of PC lag, and the lead pack was comming up on me. I decided to just ESC out before I cause another accident. To bad I couldn't finish the race, but at least I got about a Sprint's distance in (which feels good cause I haven't had a GTL Race since June!)

Well that was short. Looks like spanner and legzy had a moment, Steve holmes, Tinman? and I came round the 2nd turn to find Legzy parked in the middle of the road pointing the wrong way, Steve and Tin go round the outside, I am in too tight, try the inside and big contact, suspension wrecked gears doing odd things, limped round to pit, filled up with fuel, changed tyres and fixed damage, 2 + mins in pits came out nearly 2 laps down, ran round for a few sat behind Dyno, trying not to get in his way finally got bored and left.

That was rubbish, caused by my chronic lack of preparation never having driven into the pits before, having missed the entrance when I was going to try it in qually. Almost had to come to a halt at the start when a car appeared in front of me so I dropped to 22nd or so, fought through to 9th, was running a good pace for a respectable finish then tried to pit, actually found my way, got in cleanly but my stupid crappy pit box was the very first one and due to the A-pillar blocking my view it was too late when I saw it. So effectively a drive though. Tried to pit again in a red mist and over shot the entrance bumping into the tyre barriers, pitted, didn't need much fuel as I'd brimmed it at the start, but failed to turn off 40 seconds of damage repairs so the net result was I ended up a whole lap down from Ade, Assassino and Spanner I'd been racing before. Tried to summon the enthusiasm to continue but made my first mistake of the race out on track and quit in annoyance. Thoroughly enjoyed driving the Corvette around here but I really hate pitstops. Okay, my fault for not practicing but I still hate em.

I had practiced pitting but still pushed to hard on entry and hit the ruddy tyres. Then in my red mist I didn't put enough fuel and finished on vapours. Pillock Really strange race for me. Terrible start left me down in 12th and I was really expecting some fun Battled hard to catch people in front but every damn one of them fell off before much fun could be had Lonely race but lucky high finish and the G25 held up well (still need to refine it a tad, hence my rejoin :'(). Congrats to podium. As usual, the lappees were excellent And what a great turnout, thx all

Didn't practice because of a cold and it showed. Jumped into the car, did some last moment tweaks to the setup (when will I ever learn..) and ... I sucked big time. Congrats to the podium, Bill for beating me in the end and Sandor (you were waaaaay to fast after you extended leave ). Thnx all and see you next race in sunny Britain.

I got caught out by that as well. Actually my first thought was "Sweet! Big points!" Then realised it was an hour earlier.

Jeb good to have ya back - really sorry for the bump in qually, too desperate to get a clean lap in myself but move really wasn't on. Other than driving like a muppet in qually, loved that one, spent most of it in close proximity to Madd but I just didn't quite have the legs. Wasted far too much time in the pits buggering about but just kept it steady and managed to only lose the one place once it all panned out. Never raced the Cobra before but after finding a setup I felt I could race with safely'ish it was actually a lot of fun although the thing constantly threatened to spit me out towards the end of each stint as the rubber melted away. Grats to Dan, Madd and nice one Dyno Oh God...it's Le Mans
