Nobody has to justify any car choices, it is an open field and everybody is entitled to choose whatever car they desire....thats not what my rant is about. It is about the hours of testing, searching for, making installers for etc etc etc etc...that go in to adding new content that the majority seem to want to make the racing and fields more interesting for all....only to find that the vast majority of folk not using them as something else is a little faster....it's demoralising and doesn't make it easy to get the interest going when folk start asking for new cars etc.

I think that we, as a group should try to help you in 'pidgeon holing' cars into respective groups, it was obvious in last nights race that ,although unfortunate, the new additions were simply blown away. As I said previously, some single class races are just as exciting and rewarding to drive in and would also give people the opportunity and inclination to drive these addon cars, where normally they would be discounted. If you are able to include some single class races in the next season, both in sprints and enduros, I personally would be very happy, especially if you pick some of the new cars, DB4, 250, 935 (hint) etc. And don't become demoralised because of the cars driven this season, be proud of the exquisite and hard racing that your efforts have produced, you only need look at the turnout for EVERY GTL race, fantastic. So keep your chin up and force us to drive some of those addons you and the other GTL organisers slaved over, next season! PS oily......I think I will swap shifts!

PS oily......I think I will swap shifts! Hahaha good man. Less black and yellow ones would be nice but on the whole, the more the merrier obviously. Bob the new cars are definitely appreciated, and needed IMO order to keep things fresh. Think Madd's got the right idea there, the racing has been top notch this season and it sounds like plenty of people are looking forward to using those add-ons, just need the right conditions.

Didn't get it right in qually & started 21st on the grid. Managed to haul myself up to 13th by halfway round the 2nd lap & was doing great. But got spun by Spanner on lap three & unfortunately Matt in one of the following cars couldn't avoid having a head on with my parked car (facing the wrong way in the middle of a turn, sorry Matt, nothing I could do ). So Matt & me limped round to the pits, then sat there being lapped a couple of times while our mechanics busied themselves. I managed to get out ahead of Matt & I quickly realised why, I'd opted for not changing my tyres... not a good plan when you've got a front flat . Had to limp round again , changed my tyres this time & was already three/four laps down on the race leaders & now a lap down on Matt (who was a lap or so down on the bloke in front of him). Thought about chucking it in (a few times!), but told myself that 'everyone else still has to pit' & 'I might catch the back markers by the end'... did I hell. Drove quite well but only managed to get back to one lap down on 2nd last finisher.

I did? gulp, sorry. i thought you were Tinman, sorry. Hmm.. better check the replay.
Err yeah sorry it was you, and i'm sorry it ruined your race. You just seemed to be running a different line and there was room when i decided to go for it, but you then moved back to the inside.

I think that we, as a group should try to help you in 'pidgeon holing' cars into respective groups, it was obvious in last nights race that ,although unfortunate, the new additions were simply blown away. If the admins think this could make their life easier then I think this could be a good way to use the resources available... i.e. Us lot. If you think I could be of any help, consider me a volunteer, I get so much enjoyment out of UKGTL. Unbelievable... 28 entrants......only 4 different cars....and only 1 Jag and 1 vett in that...talk about sad. ......we had best start thinking of total single make racing at this rate. Try not to think of it as 'people only took 4 different cars', instead realise what a great race people had last night in what was a truly awesome match up of track & two cars, the Cobra v Elan. Just watch the entire middle third of the race between Blunder (Elan) & API (Cobra) as they trade position on nearly every straight & corner combination for endless laps! Classic match up & I'm sure massively enjoyed by the drivers! Maybe in future, they can have their own duel races & be removed from the choice on open GTC-65 races? No need to resort straight away to total single class races. Two & three make duels must be a better option, with the odd single class race for cars that don't have an 'equal' rival? And don't become demoralised because of the cars driven this season, be proud of the exquisite and hard racing that your efforts have produced, you only need look at the turnout for EVERY GTL race, fantastic. So keep your chin up and force us to drive some of those addons you and the other GTL organisers slaved over, next season! Echo to what he said, admins have done a stirling job.

I think we should call Ruskus to race again. He can win all races and the championship so we don't have to worry about championship points anymore To only thing that stops me from racing some cars is the simple fact that I will be a hazard for the lappers. Judging/timing and keeping your car off the racing line is already difficult for a mediocre driver like me Thought about chucking it in (a few times!), but told myself that 'everyone else still has to pit' & 'I might catch the back markers by the end'... did I hell. Drove quite well but only managed to get back to one lap down on 2nd last finisher.
I nominate you for the 'Spirit of Le Mans' Cup

Thanks pribeiro for that link. I got it half right, I didn't miss it because I was on one of my many hols this year - I deleted it from memory as we're off then on a long weekend trip. So I won't be able to race this one blast. Bill

"Don't tell him Pike" Problem is we get our various brochures between now and Christmas make our decisions and book up for the year. If only all the leagues I race in could publish their programmes at the same time I could work out the not to be missed races and plan my hols around them. Bill
