Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 549s

Gomes tries to overtake Ade going on the inside at Rivage, locks up and makes contact sending Ade off the track. Gomes allows Ade back through once he rejoins.
I see this overtake as ambitious as evidenced by Gomes locking his wheels whilst trying to keep a faster, tighter line.

  • Gomes Silvapenalty — Ambitious overtake — 2 places lost

Server replay time: 631s

Gomes gives Ade a good start once he has let him back through but is much quicker down the long back straight. Gomes is much faster through Blanchimont and can not avoid contact with the read of Ade's Lotus. After these two pieces of contact, Ade has lost 9 places in just over half a lap. Again both drivers behave in a gentlemanly way and Gomes waits for Ade at the bus stop and flashes an acknowledgement.
Although Gomes is clearly the faster driver at this stage of the race there is no option but to penalise a further two places.

If we just change class every race you haven't got a championship, just a series of fun races.
Oh, sorry. I thought that was what this summer series was!  Cheesy

Noooo this is a serious business! Tongue

Now down to 2:27.7 in the 350Z.

As a result of last week's race at Donnington I have unplugged the G25 and will take a break from racing. Cue cheers from certain aliens who will no longer be held up.
I shall continue to moderate GTR2 races (so few actually do) and will watch this season with interest. I hope everyone enjoys their racing. Hopefully I shall feel welcome enough to resume racing at sometime in the future.

No cheers here Prof Sad

2-25 in the vertigo, high 2-23's in the Porka Cup and 2-27 in the viper.

Being our fith visit to Spa inside the last six months, I had little enthusiasm for this race to start with. Add to that a little nudge that span me round (thanks for waiting though), immediately followed by a moment of madness on my part as I tried to get going again (sorry to who ever it was I pulled in front of Sad). Carried on for a few laps, missed a braking point & barely waited to hi the wall by the time I'd pressed Esc.

Spa as a track is OK, but it's the 'again & again' factor... Anyway, if we race again at Spa in 2009, I doubt I'll bother. sleep1

Not the best of evenings for me.

Everything went well until the formation lap, when I managed to stick it in the armco at La Source Embarrassed

As a reesult of this, I sustained front end damage, giving me awful understeer so decided to pit at the end of my second lap and brim it to the end. As I exited the pits I was passed by the leaders and was soon caught by most of the field. I tried to tough it out for a while but finally lost it at Les Coombes.

I enjoyed watching some of the race until I discoed, so I suppose it was never meant to be.

Can't wait till Le Mans Smiley

Great Race....Great circuit Cool

Sorry for the nudge Legzy didn't realise how slow that Tank was going through the second part of the Bus Stop Shocked the only honourable thing to do was wait for you and just sacrefice other places I lost waiting..however managed get them back with your spin and a couple of others going wide.

Then pitted one lap before the rain  Roll Eyes  which forced me to come back in again when it got too tricky for dry tyres....however was doing well when I got a stop go Roll Eyes for saving my skin through Eau Rouge by going slightly wide..this just can't be right Huh   .....Anyway lost heart with that and with only about 5 min to go pitted and left the race...
Great fun apart from the ridiculous stop go Roll Eyes

Been discussing strategy with Tudor and, as he is the "noob", I told him one tank will last 80 mins in the 811. O no it won't Smiley Your turn to organise strategy next time mate.

Could have nicked a dodgy (for me, weather just made it a lottery and I got lucky) win apart from strategy but you live and learn. Congrats Gazza, TT and Jon.

Quite enjoyed that overall Cool
Qually went well but could've been better the 911Cup could go into the 2-22's easily. Before the pitstops/rain the race was easy for me just a matter of keeping it on the road and keeping the gap steady, after the pitstop it all went a bit pear shaped. Went off straight away on my wets and lost time then got a cut warning first time trough eau rouge on them(added to my earlier one for the exact same line take). Went off again whilst pressing buttons for team speak Embarrassed SBG was just ahead of us this time but I was close to him and was gonna attack after eau rouge but SBG went wide up the right hand part and I could see him starting to come across the track and took evasive action across the pit exit part....And got a stop/go Huh After the Stop/go I lost a bit of interest but it was still an enjoyable race all round. Grats to all finishers and grats to Gazza and TT Cool

I think it was JPS that spun you and then me who you shot across  Grin No worries though, these things happen.

Great race for me. I love driving in the rain so really surprised and happy to see it come just before my pitstop. However, I thought if I change to rain tyres, its bound to stop so I stayed on slicks which was ok until the last 15 mins when I really had no grip. So I changed to wets and all is well again. Really enjoyable race.

The only bad bit was in qualifying, on a hot lap, driving through Blanchimont, Gazza decided to just drive straight into my rear, spinning me around and smashing me into a wall. Really dissapointed at this as I thought we were a bit better drivers than this. Even a sorry would had been nice. Angry Angry

I suspect, cause you joined during quali, Gazza didn't see you as he hadn't loaded your car whilst out on track.

Bugger, and apologies for that Jon. I was on hard wets and completely fooled by the loss of grip there.

I made the decision to go for Inters at the pit stop. Bad move.

The race was a bit lonely for me but, I did overtake Lazlow on the first flying lap without crashing. Cheesy I was happy with that.

Linus. I believe that Gazza may have already been on track when you joined the server. This means that he could not see you on the track. I am sure that this is the case as no one bumps people off on purpose here. They would get banned.

We did discuss your comment on TS ("Thanks Gazza") but, I was not watching him or you at the time so we were confused by your comment. I told Gazza that I assume that you had mistaken the driver names. I hope this helps to clear the matter up. angel

No need for apologies SBG I aready had 2 cuts, it's just the way it goes Grin Was surprised by the cut on the pit exit side, never had one there before.

Yes as Ginsters thought i never even saw your car Linus so had no idea what you were talking about and as we were in Qually couldn't ask what had happened coz we are not supposed to chat in qually, Anyway sorry but as i said i never saw or heard anything. I would never do that.

Race was really fun, great scrapping with Ginsters and TT, quite a few times i got a good tow on Ginsters after en rouge but then wasn't brave enough on the brakes, then i finally got passed only to get side ways and let him back in front lol. Finally got past but then a few laps later my rears were shot and i went off which let TT and Ginsters passed. Rain started a lap before i was gunna do a pitstop so quite lucky there and i decided to go for hard wets. It worked pretty well and then TT had an off and i was 3rd.

Last 15 mins was tough though as it got very wet and my tyres were stone cold so no grip. Just tried to keep it on track and hold off TT for third but then Jon pitted which gave me 2nd and then i was catching Ginsters pretty quick (i guess you were saving fuel). Caught up to him and then to my suprise he pitted with one lap to go so gave me the win.

A very good weekend of motorsport for me as saturday i won a 2hour endurance karting race at thruxton and now a win here so very happy.

Grats TT and Jon i think for 3rd.
