I had a full day today and some unexpected stuff meant I had little practise time....my fault for not practising earlier in the week. I was pretty happy to get 4th on the grid. The start was the best bit for me....I thought I'd gone the wrong way by going to the outside at T1 but I think Berger was held up and I managed to hold round the outside so I had the inside line for the second part of the chicane...up to 3rd! I was surprised to pull a little gap on him after that (his aero damage) but I couldn't stay with Jayblue and Ruskus....despite running softs. Thought I'd be getting 4th so was very fortunate to inherit 3rd - more than I could hope for with my current pace. I'm hoping with more practise I'll be able to challenge next time round! GR peeps

Quick query for those in charge:
I was running 6th and lost 1 place on the last lap of 'my' race to gsi bob and it looks like the race stats are showing me as 6th, but in the stats at the top of this thread and the championship page I'm down as 7th...is that 'cause I hit Escape and didn't cross the line on my last lap?

Has 5kg extra really scuppered the 430 TT? I hope so or maybe its just a Monza thing? Well, I had no chance against any of the GT2 cars either on straights, braking or exit and not even in slipstream. I had 3 wing. If it stays this way through the next two races then the car will be clearly an S12 failure. Qualified 18th of 20 drivers and didn't overtake anyone. Pits were lightning quick, I leapfrogged Purdie and gained almost 10 seconds on Spanner, then couldn't hold him. After contact with David (np, my friend ) I was just cruising on as I wasn't gaining anything and could lose even the measly 14th. Too bad Andy quit and MJ was missing.

Yes - if you go down as DNF you'll be scored behind anyone who didn't and completed the same number of laps.

Difficult race last night, lack of time meant I made a decision on which car to take at 8:05 when I joined the server! Done one or 2 fun races in a 911 but the only time I campaigned one was back with the original GTR. No setup and no practice meant I was tail end charlie. I did my qualifying with race fuel so come the race I was able to keep up and pressure JPV who was giving TT a hard time. Sadly JPV got over the curbs on the exit of Lesmo 2 and the resultand slide slowed him had him careering sildes across the track and I could quite avoid the wayward BMW Managed to catch TT after but frequent mistakes, usually spinning in to the chicane before the Lesmos, meant I lost ground. Happy to see that my quickest race lap was only 0.5 sec behind API and Purdie's but I need to find a working setup and better consistency. I think my team mates on TeamSpeak were getting fed up of me saying how hard the car was to keep in a straight line. I now understand what you guys were moaning about months ago.

Pretty pleased with that, 3rd in class Though during qually it looked like i was going to be right at the back. Never finished a race here ever but i must have managed to calm down and relax enough this time to finally manage it. Good race early on with Purdie and Goldtop but Purdie disappeared rather quickly and Goldtop was just too fast down the straights for me to do anything. Surprised to slowly pull away from TT but i wonder if you were just too slow through the corners with that wing level, I was running 2-7. Came out after the stop and saw TT was about 70secs up the road and Purds about 90sec so instantly thought they had jumped me as i my stop was a bout 47secs and that was with the normal fuel and tyres having split the fuel equally again. So i was rather surprised to have both TT and Purdie come out behind and with Purdies pace was going to struggle towards the end but then saw he wasnt gaining at all! Bit of a worry late on as i couldnt see D Milne's car so couldnt really work out where he was when lapping me. Oh and who was to blame for taking out the marker boards at the second lesmo during qually? Cause they never came back for the race

I have never been entirely comfortable with Monza and this continued last night. During quali i was unable to find any kind of a groove and was lucky to be third. At the start i was able to overtake a cautious Berger on the outside before the first chicane and even have a little look at Ruskus. Leaving the first chicane i saw the amazing speed of the Marcos and from that point on i knew overtaking for the lead was impossible!
I was able to stay with Ruskus for most of the opening stint but i was never in a position to have a challenge, the Marcos was around six tenths quicker on the pit straight than the Aston, that says it all! Toward the end of the stint Ruskus pulled out a five second gap with some great pace. I had already picked up two cut warnings by now so i was being extra careful and lost some rythmn at this point. Ruskus made an early stop and my strategy was originally to double stint my tyres, a move that would have bought me out of the pits in the lead, but as i knew defending against a car so much quicker on the straight would be impossible i decided to change tyres and play it safe rather than risk it all and probably get a stop/go for cutting.
I found some of that elusive pace in my second stint and posted a laptime around a tenth off Ruskus' best, a result i was happy with considering the gap in quali was around a second. Second was a great result here for me, congrats to Ruskus and SBG on their commanding wins! And Freq on third in GT1.

Grats Gingsters and Jeffery Great being back in the 997 RSR, I concentrated mainly on race setup which a slight tweak from MJ's ideal enduro setup Didn't have a quali setup and just bolted on softs, was useless and 1 sec off my pb from 30 mins before in practice Starting 4th I had a fun tussle with Spanner where we both proved as stubborn as each other which turned out to be the highlight of the race. Had 100 L but soft meds, so it took a few laps to get going but I managed to work up to 2nd. On my in-lap for my first pit-stop I got a stop/go for cutting so came out last from the pitstops. Not a problem, was on the tail of a trio of cars with TT in my sights ...but.... it was irrelevant when I got a stop/go for the second time and it put me last, very last Annoyed I would have got a podium but my own fault Grats Ginstgers, the bi-turbo isn't simple to hussle round here regardless of straightline speed (I promise to be more competitive in future..... you must be bored of these recent victories! hehe)

One thing I did have dramas with last night was every time I tried to enter server with the Kerbcrawlers Aston, the game would shut down, but with the UKGTR version, it was fine, tried re-installing skin pack, no difference, is this a problem with any other skins?
