Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 126s

PB takes a tighter line into a LH corner but taps GT's rear causing GT to spin towards the left. PB again strikes GT's car and seems to correct GT's trajectory? Cannot say if this 2nd hit was deliberate and meant with malice or a helpfull tap to correct the first impact. PB does not use GT's miss-fortune as a chance to pass however.
PB was at fault for the initial impact so I'll issue a warning to avoid rash attempts to pass drivers.

Server replay time: 187s

GT passes PB on the start/finish straight by use of draft. However once GT has passed PB he pulls in, in front of PB just clipping PB's offside front. There are no visible consequences of this touch.
Almost immediantly, (possibly GT was trying to reduce speed before the LH turn?) PB strikes a glancing hit on GT's offside rear causing GT to lose control and strike the LH barrier. It looks like a hard impact. PB does not slow to allow GT to re-pass although he has the opportunity to do so in the following RH turn and before the sharp LH turn.
As this is the 2nd incident involving PB as the perpertrator of an incident I have no choice but to penalize PB.

  • Pelle_B (Pelle Buchner)penalty — Penalty for 2nd incident involving impact with another vehicle — 1 place lost

No incident occured at timestamp 1543 therefore no judgement required.

Server replay time: 2624s

GT takes a slow RH turn hugging the apex of the turn. PB has better speed into the turn as he follows GT but tries to pass where there is no track tarmac and taps the offside rear of GT's car. No obvious consequence of this action but the momentary loss of control caused to GT momentum allows PB to pass. Again the chance is there for PB to give the place back but this does not happen. It may be that PB was not aware that contact had occured and that he thought that he had passed due to his quicker approach speed.
As this is not a clear incident to judge we will leave this as a racing incident and warn PB to be watchfull of his conduct when trying passing moves on other drivers.

In case you have been away from GTL, there have been GTL lobby problems. But.... it's all fixed now!

This is what you do to connect to the server:

1) Download & run this HOSTS HACK
2) Start GTL & select to the lobby
3) Register a new lobby account (I suggest the same name but with a blank email & password)
4) Log in with your new account & you should see a list of servers

euro

If this fix has not worked for you, then please check out this thread for more info/questions: https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=6869.msg119486#msg119486

But most importantly, do not suffer in silence (also, don't leave it till the Monday night Wink).

All members welcome.

Grid/server capacity: 28

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (26 laps = ~50 mins)

Track: Mexico 67 Download this
Cars allowed:  BMW CSL's only. This race will be run using the UKGTL Skin Pack 1.8.0.0 which will need to be installed prior to racing.

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: UKGTL RDs
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page
(4) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car

If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

Ran a race at this track last Sunday with a US based P&G league. I ran in the black Falcon Weslake. That thing was a lumbering beast around this very cool circuit. The BMW's should be really nice around here.

Loved the track in GPL. This version has some apparently variable/very sensitive cut tracks. I did 12 laps and could not manage
a time due to cut tracks somewhere or other, sometimes inthe 1st turn, sometimes the 1st chicane, sometimes elsewhere.
no need to put a wheel on the grass on the inside or anything dodgy, just put one wheel into the white line part of the track is enough at times.

Hmm, when I tested this track I don't recall any cuts. If it's a real problem we can turn cuts off.

Maybe it's worse off line, or I'm just being more carefull. Some corners you can use the full width past the white line, some you can't.
inside of the white line at T1 is a constant cut track. 1st chicane is a maybe. I would prefer not to allow unscrupulous racers
to take grass on the inside (or any other substances) so I'm happy to play safe. It may be in the heat of battle some will slide
innocently wide and go too tight on the next corner through the twisty bits...

Check out Goodwood revival 2010. Martin Brundle in an Austin A35! serious stuff.

WOW. Just banged in 15-20 laps & it's a corka!

I agree with Matt that there are a two or three places where the cut tracks are over harsh (particularly on the out side of some corners Huh laugh), but it's a truly fab track & is perfect for the CSL Cool

Come on then, tell me how far of pace I am with a 2:01? scooter

Not sure I know about that one Paulo. Only thing that fits that bill from recent times is the fix to see the online folders.

It was something to do with add a few letters after a '}' I believe, can't remember if it was in .PLR file.

So why I have 1 GTL install with several addon tracks showing online and the other 2 installations only can see Mondello and Hockenheim tracks showing online servers?
I am sure it was something recently that had to be done. Help please.  Smiley

Anyone?

Didn't the bude address change a few weeks ago when they bought the domain or something saimilar? I'll have a dig around later if no-one comes to the rescue.

Could just be a conspiracy to keep you out Paulo, as you're far too quick in that CSL Grin

Edit: OK, think this is it....

LOL....

I wait for any help, thanks GT. However, I had a look at lunch time to my 3 GTL installations LOBBY text and they are all with a same IP address, but only one is working perfectly online (I can see several tracks). The other 2 are showing only Mondello and Hockenheim....odd.
