Any tips to stop the rear tyres from melting??
I guess it's a common issue with the Abarth John. It's the same for me especially with the rear left tyre. The only thing I do is give them some "rest" without forcing so much especially in the long right corner of the first sector when they're are a bit overheated... that's all. These are a couple of setups I used in an old race here with the Abarth... they're pretty similar. Give them a try and choose the one in which you feel more comfortable: ]http://www.humyo.com/FCrSYMC/Abarth%20gara%20lel%C3%A8%204.svm?a=AP-QdaY2Lug
http://www.humyo.com/FCrSYMC/Abarth%20gara%20Ricca.svm?a=h9E9Xngy7kM Gear ratio is really important in this track, and you have to do every corner with the right gear to avoid to lose speed especially in the uphill of the first sector after the long right corner. I make it in 5th gear, but you have to do a proper line to keep the 5th gear during all the corner or there will be a sensible speed difference. Cu

Very well put Manteos ! I believe it's even more needed to keep the right line and your momentum on the uphill parts, if you're driving the Alpina, since it has more weight per BHP than the other two cars. You will be sincerly punished, if you loose it in the 'corked' uphill chikane. Driving the optimal race line is not enough; you also have to use the right amount of throtle. I prefer the alpine, because it is so well balanced ( almost like an Alfa Romeo ) and the tyrewear doesn't seem to be an issue. ................... it also has the best looking cockpit in P&G Stig

When you install the download is that in the PnG folder I take it?
Yes that's correct, path it to your PnG install location. You sorted now?

Only just managed some laps late this eve. 1:44 in both the alpine and the abarths for me. Only about 10-15mins in each so should knock a sec off those times hopefully. Momentum is key here in these underpowered cars. Superb track, Nurby of the North

Is it a Volkswagen? As Clarkson would say "how's your beetle"? Do you get Top Gear in the States? It runs one season behind on BBC America. I used to get latest on RU.

This may sound crazy, but it worked for me, when I had the same problem. I started a P&G game of min own by using 'Dedicated server' selecting the same track and car choise. I then started my regular P&G and jopined that game with no problems. Having made this maneuver, I then tried to join the UKPnG server, and voila...... I got in ! I haven't got the faintest idea why it helped, nor do I know, if the two things are connected or not. Maybe you recognize that strange felleing of not knowing why your PC suddenly works, just because you turned it of and then on again I sure hope you can make tonight. Stig

Still no luck, can make my own server, can race offline on same car/track
Are using all the cars that are standard with the mod/game, no other tracks of car packs or skins to download?

Yes all standard cars. Are there any other PnG servers you could try joining to test?
