Apologies to Tony for that nudge off onto the grass. Felt my car was quicker at that stage, having been unsuccessful at turn one and lost momentum I made an effort to pass you before that down hill dip. Nudged you off but thought you'd regained control again before that left hander at the bottom, hope your exit left after that was not caused by my actions. Once again sorry Tony.
No not at all Bill. In fact I felt that I had unfairly bulked you and gained an unfair advantage by effectively cutting across the grass. So I gave you the position back at the earliest safe opportunity

Tony you're a gentleman.

Keep trying Burt.
Cadwell was causing a lot of people trouble with entering the server. Syd had to change cars I believe.
I'm staggered that so many people liked the car choice.
As far as PnG is concerned, I found thrashing the gutless wonders around Cadwell to be the most tedious, uninspiring and unrewarding experience to date.

Don't take this the wrong way Clive, but I'm going to have to completely disagree with you. I'm only going to be taking part in two of the P&G races this season (this race and Okayama), because every other race is either using a yanktank or something similar that takes loads of practice to be able to control in a race. I'd rather be in a car that's not pushing the edge of my ability to keep on the track. I'd rather have a car I can control fairly easily as that allows me to actually race. The closest racing I've had in a long time was this race, because people were able to concentrate on the other cars and how to overtake/defend against them rather than having to fight the car. I like driving the Chevys/Mustangs/Cobras when I'm just driving, but they're too much trouble for me to be able to race with them. I doubt I'm the only person who feels this way either, since there were nearly twice as many people in this race as there were in any of the others this season.

I may have to stand trial before the Clivish Inquisition for saying this but still........ I intend to attend as many races as possible, but apart from that, I agree with you on every single point Tibernius. Stig

LOL
Well as they say, "There's nowt so queer as folk!"
The thing is that faced with two weeks of buzzing around and around all on my tod in these heaps it's a wonder that I didn't slit my wrists!
I suppose I was only saved by the obligatory doubt over which track we were actually using and thus I couldn't start too early.
I see the point about the "racing". The problem is that unlike the venerable GPL, where you can almost guarantee that you can bob on to VROC or iGOR and find a server with real people on it, the only chance to race people in this league is once every two weeks. I need the challenge of keeping the beast on the track to liven things up a bit. Thank goodness for MARA!!!!
When we did the 911 at Interlagos I had a TT lap from John that kept me entertained for a couple of weeks with not trouble.
Anyway, I know that I'm not going to convince you so I shall give in. But if you base the next series entirely on these things then I guess that I will have to find somewhere else to race.
Whilst I think of it, many thanks to Manteos for the second of the Arbarth setups that he posted and thanks also to John for aiming me at it. It made race day almost bearable!

I'm definitely not suggesting that next season should be based entirely on them, even I'd get bored of that. I would like to see a more even balance in terms of car classes, however, or at least a more controllable/agile alternative to the chevys/mustangs/cobras other than the Ferrari. I'm honestly surprised that things like the Healey, TR4, Elan etc. aren't being used since IIRC the Elan at least can get a similar race time due to the lower tyre wear? I also agree with the having-to-wait-two-weeks-until-the-next-race issues. It's been annoying me with GTL, and since GTL's now effectively running 4 different series it does bring the question of why we aren't just running GTL and P&G every week. Perhaps for next season?

I think that Matt originally had the TR4 and Healey down for this one but Mike substituted the little'uns.
These little cars were well matched. All diabolical.
One thing that I am dead against is a mixture of power cars and agile ones. We are just not good enough at it to avoid hitting each other!
The other thing that I just can't get my head around is how Ade went so fast in the Mini!

Mike and I tried lots of cars at lots of tracks, something that takes a lot more than a couple of weeks of testing. I had indeed fancied TR4 and Healey at Cadwell, and some other tracks as well, but the TR4 is just too nimble for the Squeely so Mike went for these cars, which IMHO was an excellent choice that ran sufficiently close that there was no obvious single make, you took what you felt good with. I tried to get a "classic british sports car event" at any period circuit but Healey/TR4/JAG are just not a close match so would have been pointless. Something will turn up have no fear. I remember running the TR4 at ST Jovite once with Alfa, and I think Tina and Arbarth and that was a brilliant event, so it can be done, Bear in mind guys that all opinions go towards a season, if everyone complains about roller skates then they are less likely to be around at many events. Personally I like a mix of fast and tight tracks with a variety of cars. We always "try" to give a relatively easy to drive choice as long as it's not particuarly faster, as Tibs says like it or loathe it the Elan has a good track record against apparently faster cars.
