Firstly i would like to to say sorry to Blunder. Was listening to you on TS saying that I was holding you up due to my fuel strat. I attempted to tell you to pass me on the inside, forgetting that I had remapped my wheel buttons and what was my TS PTT button was in fact my pit limiter, result a very sudden drop in speed and you off, really, really sorry mate, considered pulling right off to let you pass me, but clearly you had major problems.

Other than that some really good scraps, although I do feel i did not do myself justice last night.

Grats to Sam and Laz, great drives from both of you and well done to all those that finished, that was a long, hard race  Grin

Morning buddy!
Ah well that explains it!  Grin
Yeah bit of a shame, I was on half fuel, hence my pace, didn't realise you were on TS until later on!
Lost my rear wing so that was prety much it!
Came out with Hal and Legzy so was still shaping up to be fun but an error into the last corner and a half spin put me a country mile behind!

Ah, well, what could have been!  Wink

Grats Podium  Afro

Finishing that race in these cars would have been very hard, not to mention the quick best laps!!

Was just driving a steady race, again watching other fall off around me ( i was up to 2nd at one point Shocked ) getting a bit miffed as i get ballast for actually finishing. Decided to go with a half and half fuel strategy to try and minimise the extra weight carried but it was clear in the race i was carrying a bit more wing (16F-15R) than most as i seemed to gain through the chicanes but lost a bit down the straights. Car was really planted through the first complex so in hindsite should have dropped them a bit more.

Came out of my stop at half distance and had Jubei 6sec behind me but it seemd we were quite close as it seemed like only a few tenths he would close by. Was just trying to be consistent when i got on the curb out of the final chicane funny and got a bit of a slide on, thought i caught it, no i didnt, and hit the barriers loosing a wheel. I'd been flirting with the curb a bit but never had that happen yet Huh

Annoying as i was 4 or 5th at the time so was on for a good result considering. Was also starting to wonder how long the race was actually going on for as i was starting to watch the clock!

Shame i dont lose quite so much weight for the next one!

lol Spanner. I'm glad you were able to drive a "steady race"  Wink

The only way I was able to achieve my very average times was by running 1/1 wing and just hanging on for dear life through the bendy parts. I was having to readjust my braking points throughout the race because of brake fade due to my extreme duct and disc settings. I even found a couple of tenths by disengaging autoclutch on the straights to speed up the Eurobrun's sluggish gearshift and then re-engaging for the downshifts. All this just to reach a top speed of 191mph  scooter

I was spent after an hour in simworld....gawd knows what it must have been like to do this in RL  Shocked

Was running 2/1 wing on the Lotus and auto clutch off, downshifts too, blipping the throttle going down through the box, fun race though, really enjoyed it

Cheesy I can only dream of driving at that speed. Max for me was 182mph.
