When this circuit was first released for GPL, I did a few laps to familiarize myself with it. Bloody hopeless! But, I've since tried it with some other sims and think I've found my sea legs with it. For sure, tho, I'm going to lay on some pre-race trials to get a decent handle on it. I highly recommend all other runners do likewise.

I've only driven this once in oAo but I have good memories as it decided the championship in my favor. Tricky track, but it has a nice rhythm even if it's kinda slugish, so patience is required. That and precision on entry to corners, especially T1 and last turn.

If it's anything like Zandvoort, I should be in good shape!

Well, its like Zandvoort if you think a lot of sand or dusty stuff about would make it the same. But, I would doubt that a Zandy setup would do the business here as the bends are much tighter and don't flow ( IMHO) like the fast back section through the Dutch dunes. Hristo's advice is prolly spot on, in that most of the bends need to be treated with a great deal of respect, or else they will bite back!!!

You're right, a Zandy setup won't work because most of Jarama corners are much less banked so the tyres get loaded differently. I can't really recall what would a good setup be for this one, but I suspect having a responsive front would help a lot. So probably a softer front than usual. And stable rear on exits so you can put the power down early. Tricky combination to achieve.

So, on the basis that the suspension and handling of a VW Polo is ideal, how do I set up my Honda to drive like a Polo??? Answers please on 27 sheets of A4 with diagrams and calculations of dynamic loading. Looks like the Glutbucket pit crew will be burning some midnight oil and we may even need to use Mabel's suspenders, instead of springs, on the front end to soften the ride.

Wish I had the answer, Clive, but as you know I rarely practice. If I do before tomorrow I'll upload some of the setup work and link you.

Unlikely I'll make this, as I have friends round and probably will still be recovering. Still a good way to ease the muscles though.

Is there a way to lighten the tack asphalt , mines as black as a stick of spanish , cant see a thing in front and its almost impossible to see any other cars on track . The Papy original of Kyalami was dark , ( even that wasn't this bad ) some bright spark did an asphalt mip which lightend the black stuff , is there such a thing for Jarama Am I the only one with this problem , the track does seem sort of Nintendo -ish, very poor grafix

It should look like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeS7j8fG-goThe lighter asphalt update seems to have disappeared with RSC, I could upload mine somewhere if no-one else has it.

It seems that Bernie and me have the same problem. My tarmac is also very dark, certainly not as grey as that clip shows. Might be nice if there is a simple update for that.
