It was a very fun race for me, although with some angst after half of it. I chose to use the BT 7, because I had never raced that car before, so Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning I was looking for a setting that was comfortable and allowed me to go fast (by my driving standards). I made a good start and I was in front of Phil, there was no point in covering him because he was faster than me and the race was just starting, so at the entrance to Madwick I didn't put much resistance, and I tried to follow him, but he was much faster than me and he went ahead. After lap 15 I realized that I was not going to reach the fuel, calculated as I always do for the total distance + 10%. There I made a huge mistake, because being as I was 15 seconds ahead of Pete, I should have stopped in the pits and loaded 2 or 3 gallons of fuel. I opted instead to shift at 8500 rpm and try to make it to the end without stopping. However, the fuel was not enough and I had to stop on the last lap but one. Anyway Pete had already passed me because before Lavant I met another car and misunderstood his maneuver and we had a slight collision, which I hope didn't prevent him from finishing the race. Thanks for organizing this, I didn't have the slightest hint of screen freeze.... Post data. I saw these cars run for real at Goodwood, the 2008 Revival and I can assure you they were going very, very fast, Fordwater was a place where, especially a BT11 and a Lotus25 were impressive. They were not toys, I can assure you.

I was able to join the server, but unable to race as my rig refused to calibrate the gearshift, either online or offline?? Of course 3 minutes after the race had started, everything was working faultlessly!! bl**dy technology! Glad to hear that there were no disco issues as that could herald the resurrection of a HUGE number of great tracks that have been ignored for so long. Lime Rock Mountain, Cilce, to name but 2? Can I suggest that if we are running a few FUN races to test this new patch that we do try some of the old classics to see if they are now viable for league races?

I'm still waiting for someone to do the M6 track so I stand a chance of finishing !

Fun race! Dug deep for that 1:19 qualy lap and was surprised to do it. Start the race and I found a confortble pace running in third. Guys in front opening a gap as I was oppening from the battle for fourth behind me. From half way Andreas was the guy behind and started to close our distance. Less than 10 laps remaining he was just behind me but I was making my car wide and think I could hold him counting on the Ferrari aceleration and top speed, but 4 lap to the end the engine started to stutter. What?!! I never saw the race was 35 laps instead o 30 A quick reset and I was running again, just in front od Doni and Phil with a heavy car. Luckly they were busi enough fighting for position (sorry if I was lagging too much).

That was a lot of fun trying to chase down Claudio. I love the Cooper but I couldn't get it into the 1.20s. I always bottle out through the walls of the chicane.
I agree about track choices. Let's test some rarely driven ones. I love Dijon. That would be great in the 65s.

When we make the track selection for each oAo season we should leave out circuits such as: Wigram; Zetweg1970; Vila do Conde; RiverGP; Suzuka; Sears Point (two of them); Magny Cours (3 tracks); Laguna95; Jacarepagua; Edmonton: Casa de Campo; Borovaya; Bikernieki; Armore and several others. It would be extraordinary to resuscitate them, several of them are real gems.

Some boffo racing at Goodwood! First, a great duel with Andreas and finally with Phil. So what else is new, right? Off the grid, I followed Leo's Ferrari and wasn't too unhappy that he slowly edged away since his image was bouncing about quite badly. No fun chasing a car that you never are quite sure where it is. More on this later... A couple of oversights...ahem, ahem...on my part lead to spins in Woodcote one where Phil was alongside on Lap22. Feeling that he was responsible for my off, PT slowed to let me overtake. Thanks, Phil, but it was mostly my own doing. In the closing stages, we both caught up to Leo and on the last lap, I was close behind at Lavant. There, his image again was very poor so I backed right out of it. This let Phil get a run on me coming off the corner and the extra beans under the hood of the Lotus was all he needed to secure the place. A great result regardless. TY for hosting!

They cut it all down because it was goodwood, and plained it smooth with planes, during the War. They raced cars on it, and now we race cars on it. Less than a mile from it, is the house the Goodwood Estate belongs to, built of good wood and stone. The small private roads of the Mansion, have become a hillclimb for fast cars, and drivers.
