That's the GPL forum, I didn't mean that...

Evil said something about a General UKGPL forum section, so that is what I'm asking about.

This is an entirely different section to the GPL section under "Sim Racing in General". But from your comments I wonder if you cannot see this??

I guess that's an admin/moderator board. There is no normal forum section for anyone under the UKGPL main section, where people can post freely.

As for the GPL section, of course I know about it, LOL. I've been posting in it for years...

Well no, it is not the admin/moderator section. There is another section reserved for moderator stuff, so I am a little confused about this as the "General" section has topics such as stuff about,

Although I have to confess that there have not been any posts for few months, the content is certainly not limited to moderators and looks to be exactly what it says..."General".

Maybe someone can check what is the situation with this section as it would appear to be exactly what is being asked for but only visible to a some members?

I am hoping that someone more knowledgeable than I will explain why some of us can see this section and others cannot. As far as I can remember I have always had it available.

The topics in there are exactly the sort of thing that you would expect to see and it is the sort of forum that you appear to be asking for.  I have no control over the SROU forum operation, in fact to put anything computer/interweb related under my control is probably a bad mistake... a very bad mistake!

As it exists, I would assume that it is a simple (ish) matter to make it available to all UKGPL members??? but I know nothing about how these things work.

The 'general' is only accessible to moderators - seems to have been set up in the year dot but never been used.

Any general GPL forum posts have always been put under https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?board=52.0
