I think that some people do not have VROC wheras all of us can join a '67 race via GPL Multiplayer screen.
Less complex to organise maybe?

Maybe it's a silly question: why it's not possible to host both races with VROC tonight?
The servers are geared up for IGOR and, tbh, I have always struggled to host on VROC - trust me it's safer this way Anyway IP addresses; Works (UKGPL_5) : ping myjamesonline.net (currently 90.195.125.43 ) Privateers (UKGPL_T7_2) : 62.149.202.168 To avoid a Bandwidth Mismatch it's best to set your core.ini to 3/84 - 3/384 which should get you onto anything. Also they probably won't go into the 'newspaper' section at the end of the race until I go in and manually save the replays and shut them. They will just sit on 'complete' at the end.

Screen freeze just 1 second after the start, at the precise moment I crossed the s/f line. Fantastic track...

My race ended the old fashioned way, while comfortably in the lead! Argh. However, kudo's to the guy who designed the scoring system, as I still get some points for the effort unlike the scoring system at GPLRacer, where you only score points if you finish. Now I feel only mildly frustrated . Grats to Evil, Tim and Bartosz. Tom.

Not a great race. Excellent start took me from P4 to P2 but mangaed to get the car sideways into T1 which caused some pandemonium behind (SORRY to all concerned) - my replay shows everyone got through unscathed. Managed several trips to scenery in the first few laps - managed to string 10 good laps together but then missed a corner span where Badboood was recovering. Used up my life-line shift R earlier so that was it for me. For what its worth - great track.

I'll say this now - if we went VROC I'd resign, believe me it's like stepping in to the middle ages and not worth my hassle - someone said, I forget who it was Mike, if it's not fun I'd walk away. That aside I have both replays saved.

Sneakily took out Billy to gain a place by brilliantly parking where he was spinning...
I was on the point of giving up when I noticed Ronnie had stopped... gave me a fresh lease of life and although I didn't actually manage any laps without investigating the grass, spinning or generally rebuilding the fences i plodded on and finished sixth. My best ever.
Slightly ashamed of it.

Sorry, but I don't understand what all that fuss is all about. VROC is so simple to use and doesn't require to do anything on the server side. For running 67s especially - you just host the race and that's it. Anyone can do it and VROC itself is, excuse me, much better in some departments than Igor. It's a robust piece of software and just because it lacks features doesn't make it bad or unworthy. Anyway, I don't see a problem joining manually either, as long as the server hosting the race is set up and launched with the help of GEM+ properly.

A great circuit, but a shame that it has some problems with freezes.
I had managed to get a few laps practice in around here before the race and had used Hristo’s video lap as a benchmark. I was certain that his lap of 1:51 was not going to be his best and fully expected him to get sub 1:50. Even so his 1:48 qually lap was impressive.
I was more than content with my 3rd spot behind Tom with a 1:50 lap, especially as I had done that with race fuel on board and although pushing that hard had warmed the tyres somewhat, it was good to know that I had that sort of pace for early in the race if I needed it.
Hristo suffered a freeze as he moved off the grid and I was worried in case it was a Klingon Cloaking move and he was going to re-appear on my bonnet at T1!!. Fortunately, all I could see as we approached T2 was Tommie’s exhausts ahead and Tim’s Brabby nose behind. I knew that it would take a couple of laps to get the tyres settled, if I could afford to relax that much with Tim behind!! It seems that I had enough pace to keep Tim where I wanted him ( 50 yds or more behind ) but Tom in front was just a fraction faster than I was prepared to risk at this early stage and he crept slowly away. After a few laps Tim must have had a small prob because he dropped back and I was able to relax and concentrate on stringing a few good laps together. The setup was just about perfect and I found that I could comfortably do 1:51 laps without overheating the tyres or the engine. About half way and I almost caught Tom recovering from an excursion on to the green stuff, but could not quite get hooked onto his tail pipes and he drew away again. Tim dropped further behind and I had quite a lonely race once Tom had crept away over the horizon. I had a momentary lapse of concentration at one point and had several minor excursions on one lap as I totally lost my rythmn and had to back off slightly and rebuild my pace. It was not until the last few laps that I realised that Tom had quit and that I was in the lead !! now I was really stressed and started short shifting to protect the engine and with 7 laps to go I glanced at the fuel guage and wondered if there was enough left in the tank. I monitored the fuel over the next 2 laps and was relieved to find I had a couple of gallons to spare, so I cruised to a very surprising win, but some points that I badly needed after a poor start to this seasons racing.
Grats to all 4 finishers and commiserations to those who got frozen out…… All our victories are belong to Her .
