Assen is a fun track in these cars, it has something for all of them. Twisty bits, fast bits, and in between.
But I was still on the back foot compared to Tristan and Greg due to my low top speed. Due to this Pete also got by at the start. I think I got lucky things went wrong behind me or I would have lost more places.
I knew Pete wasn't going to keep up with them so I need to get by quickly. Down at Strubben I was right behind him, but misjudged the speed difference in the corner and sent him in a spin.
This may have hurt me even more so as I already lost tow to Greg and Tristan who just went off, leaving me in a lonely third place.
After some laps it appeared Greg lost it somewhere as I was back in his tow and my lap times were dropping. I was gradually reeling him in until he himself got the tow back from Tristan.
So he, on his turn, was also going faster, and it was just too much for my underpowered Porsche to get close.
In the last lap it became very clear I was going to finish third, until in the final sector Tristan got into contact with Doni and lose the lead. He still rejoined ahead of me, but then also lost it in the final corner.
In order to avoid his spinning Chaparral I had to give the big scare to the people in the pits. But somehow I still ended up finishing second.
One more race left, and still four people having a shot at the title? Spa is going to be something else...
