I enjoy a 'Touch of the Nurbs,' now and again. It's the fictitious track that defies fiction. Umm . . . doesn't it? My car seemed sorted, so I gridded towards the front. Then kept the leader in sight for most of the first lap. Leaped the big leap nearing it's end, and unceremoniously headed for the hills! Laps two, three, and 4 at the same spot, the same navigational quandary arose. I had become, a regular deviant. This situation led me to clip a following bridge, and some minor damage was done. Thereafter, the race remainder was run, as a deviant with a slight limp, so settled for sixth. The race replay reveals, I'd a very poor race connection. I'm relieved to see, a collision with Phil cost him, only a few seconds. Race reports at tracks I've not attended, are also suggesting issues with the signal. I'll have to stop racing, if this causes me to become a serious road hazard.

I encountered a massive warping in the beginning of the race myself, even with the rock solid connection I use to have... But I am happy for my first Nürburgring race finished without a SnG! It also made my 67 rank negative I just wanted to survive this race, so I was extra carefull and had no intentions to fight... Sorry for Hendy, who did not realize my car inside T1 and lost his podium chances there.

It doesn't get any better than this. The most challenging track on our schedule, and also the most fun. I chose the BRM because in practice, it was very durable, and still drivable after the steering was bent. My first lap in qually was representative of my overall speed. So I parked it, and watched my competition. The race start was chaotic, and I noticed several cars appeared out of thin air, but luckily, they were in the grass at the time. The race ensued, and I had learned the track well enough that I could recall upcoming corners and the gear that I needed to select. I was lucky again when I narrowly passed Dave C's spun car. All went well until the fourth lap, and I collided with Diego's spun Ferrari. Sorry for that Diego, I tried to move slightly to the left to miss your car, but that was the wrong thing for me to do. After the shift-r, Dave C. passed me, and we both performed our S&G's at the same time. He remained in front for the rest of the race. My driving became more sloppy on the last lap, but I was able to bring it home. Congrats to the finishers and commiserations to the rest.

congratulations to all the riders who were until the end of the race! Nurburgring is special! I finished a race into GPLBrasil and immediately went into Nurburgring and could do 1 back in Qualy ........ tiredness made me several errors and was coming to an end gratifying ..... all this was tiring! !

It felt good to be back with friends old and new and those not so old and not so new . As for the race , bit of an anti climax for me , a bit of racing , a bit of spinning , a bit of crashing . It seemed each time I gained an advantage due to someone else crashing out I followed suit soon after in the best copycat tradition losing more places than I had gained . This game of snakes and ladders came to an abrupt end when I became firmly stuck in the hedgerow and was unable to extracate the BRM . at least I went out in stile . At one point in the race I managed to T bone another car who was rejoining the track , havn't seen the replay yet so not sure who was at fault, if anyone ? My apologies to driver X if I was wrong Surprised to find It didn't take long to get the hang of things once more ( bit like riding a bycicle I suppose ) but the big shock was finding how much those trees have grown since my last visit here , must be all the rain . Could hardly recognise the new track in places and kept getting lost , not aided by me sitting so low down in the BRM cockpit that It was difficult to see the road ahead ( must bring a cushion next time ) Thanks all for the fun , grats to the podium boys and all who finished and sorry to anyone I upset in my travels . P.S. had to s/r at one point then forgot all about my S and G so took it on the next lap, hope this was within the rules , otherwise please endorse my radio licence
