I had the server up earlier and a few of us had issues connecting, mainly myself and EvilClive.
When we tried to connect we got the race splash screen then got a black screen and got dumped back to iGOR.
I managed to resolve my own issues by removing the Hi Rez track and installing the Low Rez track.
Once I tried connecting with the Low Rez track I connected fine and could race.
Seeing as this is the next race on the novice calendar I want to suggest a couple of things.
1) I don't host. 2) People test their online Brands67 setup.
I am considering not entering the race if it is going to be troublesome, see I got used to Hi Rex track (which I can play fine offline) and the Low Rez seems very different, i.e. T1R seems a lot steeper, there is a huge run off area at South Bank Bend that doesn't exist on the Hi Rez, there is a run off at Stirling's Bend that is not on the Hi Rez and the pits seem different too.
I assume the server is not the issue as people were able to connect while Evil and I could not. Any ideas anyone?

I joined your server ok Mike.
Steve and Nicky were in there too. They had some issues just before you joined but they were unrelated as I was uploading a file to my server which gave them 100% lag. Do you have the Hi or Low Rez version Clive?

using the lo rez track and it's fine for me. Bit concerned about my FPS though, doesn't like the start of the races with only 4 cars so dread to think what it will be like with up to 19!

Well the Brands67 I am using comes with 48,7MB 89files. Guess basic brands67_hirez_v1 and definitely those caballero update on ,which itself comes with 11,5MB 50files. As well I put on Brands 66asphalt 1,68MB 11files and added loose starting grid. I definitely didnt install those `New Brands67 default & 66horizon ` update. Anyroads , yesterday EvilClive ends up with the idear/hope something wrong with his saison.inis inside GEM . Lets see/wait if he can put some light on . Maybe its same prob settled on Mike in this particular . As to the FPS probs Steve got at the start . I can imagine its related by the close starting grid. We can do a test on that today ,as I got an extreme loose starting grid to the track .

Maybe its same prob settled on Mike in this particular . Yes, hopefully Clive will fix it and tell me how to fix mine. Like I said, I can play the Hi Rez fine offline but not at all online. We can do a test on that today ,as I got an extreme loose starting grid to the track . I had a loose grid installed but reinstalling the track yesterday must have overwritten it. Nicky, would you mind emailing me the extreme loose one you have as it may improve the fps for people. Thanks. Maybe next season won't include Brands Hatch.

OK I looked at your grid Nicky and it has the same spacing as mine, i.e. 10 units between each row.
The difference is that yours has the pole on the right and mine has it on the left.
We had a little debate on this about the Silverstone grid and I am still of the opinion that the pole should be on the racing line which at Brands is the left.
Opinions welcome of course.

I still think that it should be on the right but at Brands there are other issues. The angle of the track means that getting off the line straight is an art form to begin with and then, with some grids, the bloke on pole can't see the starter from the in-car view. If you have pole on the left and the guy doesn't make an absolute ace of a start then he gets hung out to dry until he gets as far as Graham Hill Bend. Could be last by then.

If I got it right , Clive mentioned the pole driver cant see the starter flag from inside cockpit view. Well that’s different on my install here. ( see replay ) Not sure , maybe its due to the fact I added those bigger green _flag stuff to GPL`s objects folder . Really surprised we did have had the same loose grid on Mikes serves couple days ago , but must be my memory playing tricks on me . I could swear it was a more close one.lol. -- Brands start replay .zip could be found here : http://forum.racesimcentral.com/showthread.php?p=3937767#post3937767Keeper_4lag could be found here (post 2 ): bigger green flag at post 8. I would recommend that .its more nice. http://gplmz.bcsims.com/index.php?showtopic=3244&hl=bigger+flags
