Nicky, do you have to copy those to each circuit folder?

We were getting some stuttering on 5UKGPL earlier.
It isn't always an issue as it has been running most of today without issue.
Would it be wise to host the Novices elsewhere on Tuesday just in case?
I believe Vos was having trouble even hosting the track so we may need another solution.

I am the world's worst expert on computers/servers/software issues and I may be totally wrong here but........
I think I read somewhere that if you are running a server (as a pure SERVER and not using your RACE computer to host) then you need only the very basics of the track, cars etc.
What we all see on our RACE computers is the version of the circuit and cars that we each have on our own individual computers with all the whistles and bells. All we need from the server is the relative positions etc of all the other cars.
Which leads to the point that maybe you guys are trying to load a hi-res version onto your servers when you do not need it? maybe this is causing some of your probs. Of course we all have to have the same circuit ( Brands 67 in this case) but not the same level of detail?

I've joined (using the hi-res version) and it seemed fine, Brands isn't known for problems- at least the Sabre version. The track shouldn't be any different under the lite versions?
If we had to use ukgpl4 as the Novices server I'd have to ask Clive to host the Amateurs. The Novices was the larger race at Silverstone, but I'm not sure this time out.

Tried the server version and still no joy. GPL crashes as soon as I try to run Brands 67 - not had that happen with any other track. Re deleting a track - is there a correct way to delete them in GEM? I take it off the Season ini in the season section but it still stays on the list of all tracks on the left. Do I need to remove the folder from gpl\sierra?

I would remove it, ensure that your season.ini tracks are numbered and totalled correctly, then reinstall the normal version. Brands isn't known for problems, especially if you can run Monaco and Montjuic.

Are you using OGL or D3D. I have some vague recolection of some oversize mips that wouldn't run in OGL, I'm sure there is a fix though.
