I had a plan to run some int 65 races on British club circuits tonight but it hadn't progressed very far before Xmas. One alternative for UKGPLer's looking for a race is the GPLRacer winter event at Rouen for 65, 66 and 69, starting from sixish, with the last race after eight. http://forum.racesimcentral.com/showthread.php?s=21b59bfd85692fd8d714f5df767bb7dd&t=332856I wouldn't like to run another event at short notice if there aren't going to be many drivers around- any opinions?

The 65 race might be a bit early for me but I'll try to make the 69 race, family permitting.
Like you say, it may be too short notice to get a good attendance.
I was going to run a Night Mod race this week if anybody is interested.

Mike, you can probably just turn up but might need to put a note on the forum at http://forum.gplracer.eu/topic.php?id=428&page=3໲Night mod race might be interesting...

In a word NO! LOL But that's just me I expect. I have Gladys running 67 Coopers at Albi at the minute in support of GBGPL's Cooper Festival tomorrow night.

We'll run a 65 fun race on Tues 30th then- I've wanted to test Vallelunga for stability and raceability for a while. Download the 67 version from here: http://gplmz.bcsims.com/index.php?showtopic=3153Start time will be the usual Novice time of 2045GMT, we'll have an hour's practice to get used to the circuit though.

My definition of a FUN race has always been something like 67 Coopers at Monza. Racing at an unknown track in an unknown car with no previously sorted setup has always been my definition of purgatory. But don’t let my jaded views dissuade you; I can’t race tonight anyway.

I should be there - GPL Racer ran the track a while back and it was pretty stable. Will leave my server up on Brands for a few days...
UPDATE : for some reason the server will not run Brands (normal or lite version) so left it on Vallelunga. Only just noticed Mike is running it too...

I think it's more as a test with a view to using the track next season. Hopefully replacing Mexico. Server is up on iGor for the day.

I should be able to make the race tonight. I haven't touched GPL for a couple of weeks so it will be nice to shake off the cobwebs before the Div 1 race at Brands.

That's a surprise Clive, as you've always preferred the short easy-to-learn tracks over the longer tracks? Also, with the 65 drivers there'll be a few that haven't yet driven a Cooper T81. I've considered a season with less known tracks not named until before the race days, so that established drivers wouldn't have the advantage of their specialised setups and would be forced to work from a base setup like the sixties F1 drivers had to, but it doesn't seem practical.
Vallelunga should be similar to Albi, though its driven counter-clockwise. I'd like it as an alternative to Albi and Snetterton. I'd also like to have tested Imola, but it's fussier to install.
