Wow!
Fast out of the blocks there Phil!  You must have been knitting that together since the start of Season 43.

Could I just ask if there will be separate servers for works and privateers?

OK.  Just found it Huh?.

I'd like to register for this championship, if there's room. Not sure if I can make all races, but I've never driven the 55 mod before so curious to see how it feels. Going to install it now and give it a go.

Welcome back Hristo, there will always be room for you. I think you'll find the 55 cars rather different from the rest of the mods. The brakes are very bad (arguably unrealistically bad) so you have to drive with a different approach to what you are used to.

Thank you, Phil! So I've been told about the brakes, ha!  Grin Going to check the available cars for round 1 and try one of them to see what this is all about.

Welcome back H.

Good to see you.

Hey Clive, good to see you too! I did some laps with the 250F and played with its setup too. Very tricky to be consistent! I expect to be really bad at this, as I just can't be sure at which moment the brakes are going to disappear, plus the rears tend to overheat a lot if I try to compensate too much with sliding around and using the throttle in a rally style kind of way. And that's at Assen, which seems to give plenty of time for the brakes to cool down. I suspect it's just going to get worse on other tracks...

Hi Hristo, I doubt that it will take you long to master it.  I would say that Assen requires quite a lot of brake management.  The other extreme is Spa, where you can ignore the brake status unless you are following someone who keeps making you dab the brakes to save from hitting him.

I usually think that if the brake indicator is yellow then I have one more stab at the brakes to go before I'm rolling free.

Welcome back Hristo  Grin. Great to see you and Dimitar in UKGPL.

If you are looking for "something different" then the 55's are the answer lol. Skinny tyres, dodgy handling and brakes that go absent just when you need them most!! It just adds an extra dimension to the whole simulation.
The brakes, for sure, are the BIG issue and IMHO it is a good idea to decide exactly where you are going to use them to the max, and also where you can lift and coast ( with downshifts) to save that precious braking. But why am I offering advice to an alien Huh?? lol

Thanks, Evil! I DO need the advice, especially judging from how much behind I am in lap times compared to what you guys did back in 2022 at Assen. Honestly I don't see how it's possible to achieve those times at the moment  Roll Eyes  Grin
