You have probably already though about this but, if interest is such that you get over subscribed in amateurs I don't mind running a slower car in Novice if it evens the grid numbers out in both divisions. Although my preference for my own improvement would be am's.
Ditto for me.....Ams is looking real top heavy at the moment. I'll run a slower car in novice if necessary, as 16-17 drivers on a numptyless grid in Amateurs would afford the faster drivers some clear air and track to drive in/on. And a full Novice grid would be quite desireable. Might have to get reaquainted with the Honda, or meet the BT11 seriously for the first time. What ever you decide I'm fine with... Geoff.

Can we declare a result now whilst I'm still top of the list?

Any decisions yet as to wether we'll be running season 17 with or without the new patch?

Any decisions yet as to wether we'll be running season 17 with or without the new patch? The patch WILL be allowed but it is optional not mandatory (trying to police it's non-use is practically impossible). Dave will make an announcement and I'll update the rules.

That's a kind offer Steve and one which I would prefer not to take you up on as you have been "brave" enough to make the move up of your own accord (with some barracking from Geoff). However, with 17 registered so far for Amateurs and 12 for Novices it may be that it will be for the best if you do move back down. No decision yet though but we'll decide early this week. and....

The grids have evened out somewhat Steve. I've provisionally allocated you a Cooper in the Novices, though perhaps that should be a BT7 with your Soggie teammates, or even a BT11, which I wouldn't object to if you don't want to setup another chassis.
However, if your preference is for the pro grid there shouldn't be any problem with that. I would expect numbers in the Amateurs to drop slightly during the season, though this should be offset by drivers moving up.

I signed up for Amateurs as well, just to signal my willingness to step up to this level if it is requiered. Otherwise I'm happy to stay with the novices for another season.

I've just filed an entry for this Amateur series. Rather late, I know. Sry. I've recently moved over from the ADC to get away from the shift-R/reset thingie. Too often relied on by some to make up for dodgey driving. A T77 or BT7 would suit me just fine, thanks. Doni

No problem Doni, we've had a shortened offseason anyway. We've got a BT7 so a Cooper please, that solves a minor niggle!

Welcome Donnie, nice to see you over here too. OK thanks Dave. I would like to try a different chassis to the BT11 this season, so don't mind the Cooper or BT7 at all. Once I start in either Novice or Amateurs, I'd like to stay there though. So whatever you guys would prefer, I'm easy whichever division. If it is to be Novice, I have not registered in that vote, but would prefer not to be in as reserve should the swap be requested at this late stage (if that makes sense ).
