Nothing wrong with lonely laps!
I like lonely!
Just a few pixels to chase in the distance is spot on.
Means nobody is about to hit me!!!!!!
OK so I'm paranoid.
Wouldn't Milano have been easier on the gfx/pc? My frame rate is pants at a couple of spots. Must look to see if I can switch something off.
How much detail level are you running Clive? If you go over 75% you likely get bad fps. However it's incredible how there is still people having fps probs with today, and even yesterday hw. I run this track on a PII 350/Voodoo2 when it came out. Ciao

When you say you ran it on Voodoo, remember the game was originally made for 3DFX so Voodoo cards have huge advantage. I had a Banshee myself and was getting better fps than 3 times faster PCs that ran on D3D at the time. Hopefully it's going to be ok with a full grid, but it's likely I'd have to reduce the details a lot, 69 tend to be heavy on fps with big fields combined with such tracks.

Not driven 69s before and would like to have a go in the fun race
Anyone got a tame(ish) setup for any car they are happy to share
cheers, peter
Have a look here Peter http://forum.racesimcentral.com/showthread.php?p=3982967#post3982967 I think that the higher drag version is quite tame as it is but you could add more wing if you want.

In this case, I think setting Pribluda to use distance instead of time back to the next car would be useful. If it's closer than 8 yards don't move across.

Everyone knows that million-to-one chances happen 9 times out of 10. Why the hell do I keep crashing then?!

Many thanks for that Nicky. I was wondering how to map the F10 button to my wheel. I can't drive with that view either but reckon it would be useful for a quick glance when you lose sight of someone.

I had fun on the training race, before the big one. Too bad i've been told i get people out of the track. Well, i've seen the replay, i don't think it is true (at all). Watch for yourself. I hesitate to do the big race, feeling i was not welcome.
I tried anyway. I did a mistake on practice, (it happens), and i'm really sorry for that one . So I left the event not to interfere with you.
That is sad, anyway i hope you had fun on that race.

Very sorry you didn't have a good race Gerard. I couldn't get on the server, it was full when I turned up. I did notice there were drivers of every ability on the server which does create situations where the faster drivers get frustrated, but it is no excuse for impolite behaviour. For league races, we try to run races with drivers of similar ability to try to avoid these situations. We have a healthy 65 division for novices which might be more to your liking. Hopefully we'll be running a few practice races before the start of our new season in September. You'd be welcome to join in on those if you like. I hope tonight's experience hasn't put you off UKGPL.

Both people you mention are very fast and talented drivers, but I've never known either of them be impolite in chat. I'm sure it was a misunderstanding.

I don't remember who said what, and i'm sure people of your league are very nice.
Lets forget that incident and after all, i did 1.15.0 (ok with draft), it will be the good thing tonight!

I'm very sorry to hear what has happened Gerard. I looked for you in the main event because I could see from our practice run that you were going to be quick.
As for the incident at Curva Grande in the practice event, you are quite correct. It was my fault. I moved too far left as we approached the corner. I didn't say anything to you at the time because I hadn't looked at the replay at that point but I'm pleased to have the opportunity to appologise now.
The other incident was between me and Paul and Paul was directing his, shall we say, rough language at me, although he thought it was you.
In actual fact I don't think that he had anyone to blame but himself. I don't know the track that well so after moving down the inside of the track as we passed the pits to enter the first banking I was somewhat surprised to find that my bit of track had turned to grass. I braked and kept tight to the inside when I came off the grass but Paul had stayed down below the yellow line on the banking and as a result there was contact. On my replay it is a warp contact of about a metre but Paul could have been looking at something different. In any event, knowing that I was there he should have left a good deal more room.
As Phil says, it is somewhat out of character for Paul to break the golden rule of keeping your mouth shut until you have looked at the replay. At least then you can have a go at the right bloke.
Hope you enjoy your future racing with this league.

You're definately welcome Gerard Grats to Grzegorz Lenarciak. The Skid Mark can now give out it's Season 17 Iron Man awards; Grzegorz (hon member) / Al H / Hristo / Geoff H / API / Bookie To be honest I half thought no one would finish so well done you lot. For my part enjoyed some really good clean racing with Al until ye olde Lotus started billowing smoke around lap 14. Disappointed but there you go, sure I'm not the only one. Overall I think it was a good event - did what it said on the box Apologies to anyone that found the server full. I didn't think these summer races would prove so popular and due to holidays we are currently down to one IGOR server.
