With one week and one day until the Moulinsart race, the first in the Historic 66 Trophy, I would like to put down some stuff you should know.

The races will be about 50 min long and to score points you need to make half race distance, the so called 50% rule, if the race is 28 laps to score points you need to make at least 14 laps.

There will be no reruns or restarts unless there is a total server crash. Any freeze or other computer problems will be treated as mechanical failure like if you blow an engine and you are out of the race.

The first race all drivers will have free choice of chassis within the 2L category because the first race is a 2L event. After that there will be a handicap system so that the leader and the second in the championship will be restricted to a group 1 car for the leader and a group 2 car for second.

You can take a look at the different car groups, and other rule stuff here: https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=339&theme=6

The server will be up sometime between 20.30 and 21.00 UK time and you are free to join and start driving right away. The race will start 21.30 UK time.

However the reserves must make sure that they do not take any full timers place on the server so it might be best if you wait until there is 30 min left of quali.

So, be aware and best of luck!

Göran

I'm going to miss the first race, first because for some reason I can't get the track, second because I'm very short of time. Still have a few good questions:
Will be "historic" server on igor or on vroc? Will there be a chat (and if yes what is it named?) where to met pre-race, just to chat (ah-ah! ...ehm  sweatdrop) and to see if there is room enough to join?
Maybe you've already explained things elsewhere, but I'm a total newbie, sry guys and many thanks in advance

No problem Lorenzo.

We meet in iGOR and the chat room is UKGPL - no password there as the race password is on the thread. We meet at around 8.50pm UK local time.

See you there.

That's a pity, Lorenzo Sad
I tried yesterday the track for the first time and it's really fun, good choice!
Does anybody have a reliable setup for the 2L Italian red car?!?
Thx in advance

I don't think we need to improve our driving skills but at least I know where I can improve! And 'la' was my first guess...  angel

Your language and driving skills at least give me something to aim at!

After some thought I've decided to withdraw from this series in favour of doing the Intermediates. Could I have my registration removed please? Should at least free up a slot for someone else as this series is well-subscribed.

I regret I have withdrawn as well, my calendar is a bit full this season......something had to give. Another slot opens for a reserve though.

Could I suggest to you both that instead of withdrawing you become reserves and that way if you find yourselves at a loose end on a Tuesday you can join in. If not you haven't lost anything.
