I guess I should apologise for my less than enthusiastic involvment in these 2 races, but I plead "fatigue".
In the line of business, I was "forced" to attend the Mclaren Christmas party at their Headquarters on Thursday evening and suffer free food, a firework display, a presentation of raffle prizes by Mr Dennis himself..OH! and of course I had to walk around all of those Mclaren cars. From the 70's right through the Senna era and up to the current F1's all parked around where I was on duty....sigh! life is tough
.
Probably the worst aspect was being alongside the Free Bar
and having to stay sober for the drive back afterwards whilst just about everyone else indulged. By the time we had packed up and found our way out of Woking it was Friday before I got home and I still had to go to work Friday morning....everyone say "awwww"
I can feel the waves of sympathy washing over me and I am sure you can understand why I was so knackered for the Monza races.
